Over 29 years of fanhood Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Seems way too happy for a 4-5 coach
CodeMonkey Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Seems way too happy for a 4-5 coach You'd be happy too if you had his contract, even at 4-5.
quinnearlysghost88 Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 open competitions for multiple positions in week 10. so solid.
Gugny Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 You'd be happy too if you had his contract, even at 4-5. And an owner who is more concerned with ticket sales than wins. All Rex has to do is keep it exciting.
Chris in Syracuse Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) I swear I heard Rex say in press conference or interview with bulldog that Sammy had a "procedure" six weeks ago. Did anyone else hear that? Edited November 16, 2016 by Chris in Syracuse
Helpmenow Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 And an owner who is more concerned with ticket sales than wins. All Rex has to do is keep it exciting. And the fans keep filling the seats as well
Gugny Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 And the fans keep filling the seats as well Exactly. Why spend money on winning when it's easier to spend money on excitement?
#34fan Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Looks and sounds like a guy with NO IDEA what the f*%# he's doing...
3rdand12 Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 And an owner who is more concerned with ticket sales than wins. All Rex has to do is keep it exciting. Isn't that what football is these days? Honestly. If he was my employee i would be tossing him bonuses. The seats are filled
jr1 Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 we should have just kept Jauron if we were going to be .500ish the whole time anyway
John from Riverside Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 So now we are piling on Pegula....is that the thing? Guy spends a crap load of money trying to improve the team (last year numeral uno in signing bonuses) but .......he just wants to make money

B.c Rex smiles once they make up this stupid ****.

Guy spends a crap load of money trying to improve the team (last year numeral uno in signing bonuses) but .......he just wants to make money He's an oil guy. So ... yes ... he just wants to make money. No one is denying that he spent a crap load of money. Personally, I'm questioning what his investment goal was. Winning does not seem to be what he had in mind. And the team isn't winning. However, I do recall a record number of season tickets being sold. He didn't get that rich by being stupid or making unwise investments. He's in a market that doesn't offer a hell of a lot more than football during football season. The Bills don't have to be good (i.e. win more than 8 games) in order for people to pony up to go to the games. As long as there is some "excitement" and a glimmer of hope, Bills fans will whip out the checkbooks. I mean absolutely no offense in saying this to you John, but it's fans like you that owners like Pegula and Ralph Wilson feast upon. And there's enough fans like you who can afford to buy season tickets, so owners like Pegs/RCW have no incentive to put a quality product on the field. And that, my friend, is why the Bills haven't seen the post season in 17 years.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) Exactly. Why spend money on winning when it's easier to spend money on excitement? This was always my take on why Brandon didn't want to let him "out of the building." Buying relevancy without needing the winning record. Edited November 16, 2016 by Over 28 years of fanhood
BillsVet Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Whatever happened to: “I know it’s been 15 years since the Bills made the playoffs,” Ryan said. “Well get ready, man, we’re going. We are going. . . . My message to our team is to get ready. Start preparing now. Start preparing that we’re going to be playing games in January.” It's been refined to we're having open competition after week 10.
