PatsFanNH
Is it just me or are there no truly scary Defenses in the NFL anymore? I mean there are a LOT of potent so out there? Pittsburg,Atlanta,Raiders etc But I can't think of one D that is truly scary.. maybe Philly? How about you guys?
CommonCents
I like the Vikings personnel I'm not sure what they have been doing in recent weeks though.
PolishDave
It doesn't seem like there are any this year. But I wouldn't say anymore...Cuz that sounds like a permanent thing. You can bet there will be one next year. It won't be the Bills though.
GunnerBill
Denver, Seattle, Philly, Houston, Baltimore and Minny are the closest there is.... but I agree there isn't one really fearsome D. All of those have their weak spots. The rules make it so hard to play really good D these days.
Fadingpain
Salary cap and free agency have made it difficult for true powerhouses to exist these days. An organization that really knows what it's doing without FA and without a cap can build a monolith. There is more parity these days, but we are also robbed of the mega heavyweight title bouts we used to get as well.

Think Philly's O is competent (though no better than that) the others I agree. Kill me now rather than make me sit through a Houston game.
Buftex
Yeah, even the elite NFL defenses in the league today would not stack up against the best defenses of the 80's and 90's. The rules are really starting to kill this game...
Maury Ballstein
Just Denver. Not sure where the Vikings went.
BillsPride12
Denver's defese last year and Seattle's defense the year before that were both insane. All time great defenses, due to salary cap and guys getting older/hurt they have both taken a couple steps backwards but still very good defenses. Your not going to see an elite, all-time great defense come out every single year.
