Lynn: Harvin will probably start

He’s been on Buffalo’s roster for three weeks, his legs are back underneath him and the Bills offensive staff believes he’s ready for an expanded role in the team’s passing attack. But to expect a full workload on offense for Percy Harvin is not yet realistic.

Cardale misses practice with illness

Rookie QB Cardale Jones missed Thursday’s practice, but not because of injury. Head coach Rex Ryan confirmed that Jones was unable to practice due to illness.

On the positive side of the ledger, WR Brandon Tate is out of the concussion protocol and was a full participant at practice Thursday. He’s expected to be available to face his former team in Cincinnati Sunday.

Percy Harvin says his legs feel "amazing," and "I'd love to be (in Buffalo) as long as I can:" http://www.wgr550.com/With-legs-feeling-amazing-Harvin-opens-door-to-lon/22938108

@buffalobills

Marcell good to go for Sunday? Rex: "I'm hoping. Barring anything that happens, it looks good."

TWIN BLITZES TEST DALTON

Bengals.com

When it comes to playing the Ryan twins, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton is no red-headed stepchild. Heading into Sunday’s game against the Bills at Paul Brown Stadium (1 p.m.-Cincinnati’s Channel 19), he’s 3-1 against them and riding a three-game winning streak with a 118.4 passer rating that includes 12 touchdown passes and just two interceptions.

MANY HAPPY RETURNS

Bengals rookie Alex Erickson would be leading the NFL in kickoff return average if he had enough attempts to qualify.

TATE OF THE RE-UNION: SPECIAL TEAMS BEGIN TO EMERGE

Geoff Hobson - Editor Bengals.com

The Bengals special teams, ranked in the top ten three of the last five seasons, are beginning to rise again. The surge coincides with Sunday’s appointment against a key figure in that stretch at Paul Brown Stadium (1 p.m.-Cincinnati’s Channel 19), Buffalo returner Brandon Tate.

@viccarucci

Rex Ryan non-committal about Ronald Darby starting at CB for #Bills vs #Bengals.

@MatthewFairburn

Corbin Bryant is out for this week with the shoulder injury. Marcell Dareus is questionable. Rex Ryan feels pretty good about Dareus.

Ryan Groy is going to start at center for the Bills.

Rex Ryan said he expects James Ihedigbo to play a bit at safety Sunday.

@ChrisBrownBills

Rex confirms Groy will start at center. Other positions sound like they'll have player rotation - LCB, nickel CB, SS, RT. #Bills

Buffalo at Cincinnati

Bills: This defense had success with interior stunts in the loss at Seattle. Expect to see more of this against a Bengals O-line that has struggled in pass protection, particularly inside.

Bengals: Vontaze Burfict is an aggressive downhill attacker. Usually, that benefits this D. But the other edge of that sword: Burfict can be susceptible to misdirection fakes. That’s a concern against a Bills ground game that features pull-blockers and additional bodies in the backfield.

Bengals key players good to go

Several of them were limited, but some of Cincinnati’s key players are ready to go for Sunday’s game against Buffalo.

Andy Dalton, Tyler Eifert, Brandon LaFell, Rey Maualuga, Michael Johnson and George Iloka were all limited in practice at some point during the week.

But their lack of participation appeared to be more the result of having a short week having just played Monday night against the Giants.

Only backup TE C.J. Uzomah is doubtful.
