“Members of the American Federation of Government Employees turned their backs on Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue on Thursday, apparently over plans to relocate them from Washington to the Kansas City area.”

Perdue announced Thursday that two of the Department of Agriculture’s research agencies, the Economic Research Service (ERS) and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, will be relocated to be closer to major farming regions, according to Politico.

More please.

YES, LET’S:

Let’s Move More Federal Agencies Out of Washington: There’s no need for most federal agencies to be stationed in the nation’s capital, one of the most expensive cities in the country.

Hey, there’s bipartisan support for this idea.

And here’s my column: Make DC A Swamp Again: Trump is scaring progressive hipsters away, he should send federal workers after them.

“A few decades ago, Washington was a sleepy town, famously mocked by JFK for being a combination of ‘northern charm and southern efficiency.’ You could dine at the fanciest restaurants on a senior civil servant’s salary, real estate prices were reasonable, and the cultural life was, well, pretty lifeless. This is what we should aspire to for D.C.’s future.”

If Trump were really smart, of course, he’d send them to the rural parts of deep-blue states, so they won’t boost the Democrats’ electoral fortunes, and so that lefty-types won’t want to work for the federal government as much.

And the beat goes on.....................

Do they vet anyone for this administration? Wife beaters, drunks and grafters.

How many acting directors are there now? The VA goes over a hundred days without a confirmed leader. Most incompetent administration ever

The Post reports:

Several Democrats pointed to a long line of episodes in which Trump’s nominees have withdrawn from consideration for Cabinet posts, assistant secretaryships and federal judgeships after compromising personal or professional details emerged. Notable examples include Mark Green, who withdrew from consideration to become Army secretary in 2017 over his past comments about Islam, evolution and LGBT issues; and Philip Bilden, Trump’s pick for Navy secretary in the same year, who withdrew over financial concerns. Last year, Ronny L. Jackson withdrew from consideration to become VA secretary over allegations of professional misconduct, while two nominees — Andrew Puzder for labor secretary and Heather Nauert for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations — withdrew their bids over legal-documentation issues related to immigrant household employees since Trump took office.

Tibs, come on. why do you think they withdraw? because the lunatic liberal left wants to destroy anyone who works or has worked for Trump. they are so deranged that they can not let anyone be that threatens their paradigm.

They withdrew because they were damaged, tarnished and/or corrupted. You Trump supporters shouldn't be calling reasonable people lunatics, it only shows how out there you are. You think it's ok to have wife beaters littering your administration?

Surrounding Areas, we agree! The District? Most awesomest urban area in the world. Shoot, we be a mile from the White House, beautiful tree lined street, 3 very distinct neighborhoods within a 8 minute walk, and truly hardly ever hear about politics.

Love it

Sounds an awful lot like a planned community you would see in Disney. Must cost some mad staxx to keep all that up for the elite-insider class. ?

You hardly ever hear about politics because you live in a Democratic bubble where no one discusses politics, because everyone thinks identical thoughts.

U.S. Senator David Perdue of Georgia.

Right now, it can take more than a year to fire or replace a federal employee, even for poor performance or misconduct.
