The Fifth Risk
by Michael Lewis

Many of the people who are working in government are highly educated, including scientists and management experts. They are the ones dealing with crucial issues such as climate change and cancer.

Author Michael Lewis tells stories of how departments are being mismanaged by inept Trump appointees who are unprepared to take over.

The appointees are inept, motivated by greed, have anti-government beliefs and are largely scientifically ignorant. What happens to a nation that is mismanaged?

Seen this interview on Fareed Zakaria , it was very scary to say the least.

From my experiences with the Federal workforce, "Trump appointees" are no different than "Obama appointees" or "Bush appointees" or "Clinton appointees".  They're political figureheads

The ones running the departments poorly tend to be the career civil servants that have risen to their highest level of incompetence

Smooth couple of years for the leadership team so far. And now that he's appointing more sycophants, he can finally do whatever strikes his fancy. What could go wrong?

If the past two years have shown anything, it's that he can't do whatever strikes his fancy.

Different strokes for different folks:

Smocking is an embroidery technique used to gather fabric so that it can stretch. Before elastic, smocking was commonly used in cuffs, bodices, and necklines in garments where buttons were undesirable. Smocking developed in England and has been practiced since the Middle Ages and is unusual among embroidery methods in that it was often worn by laborers. Other major embroidery styles are purely decorative and represented status symbols. Smocking was practical for garments to be both form fitting and flexible, hence its name derives from smock — a farmer's work shirt. Smocking was used most extensively in...……………….

Lawfare is disgusting and should be illegal.

They will do to the Trump staff what they did to Sarah Palin (suing, and suing, and suing people into bankruptcy) to get the "Trump in chaos" narrative they so desperately want. Combine that with the cost of defending yourself against frivolous lawsuits and arrests based on manufactured process crimes or possible deeds that happened 10+ years ago (ie, you "help" Trump, we are going after you!) - the left is desperate to isolate President Trump and make him a one-term President.

Trump put his own white house into chaos, no need from people that want transparency in government is necessary.

And Trump being a one term president is something Dems don't really need to try to hard to accomplish. Trump is a complete miserable failure and probably a money grubbing traitor who has sold out his country to Putin. If you don't believe me, Just look into at all the lies this scum bag (Trump) has had to tell.
