Not even close.

Birth certificate, cries of socialism, not the country I grew up in, build a wall, terror alerts, invade Iraq or mushroom cloud, Obamacare will ruin the economy, war on christmas, the second amendment is almost gone, we are not an innovative society anymore, death panels, Obama is taking our light bulbs away, there's a crime wave taking place, Hillary should be in jail,

The Republicans elected a carnival barker.

Ya, why would I even think that?

It shows where Obama's shortlist for cabinet appointments originated -- one of his largest donors in '08.

And had absolutely nothing to do with how much they received under TARP.

You know what's ridiculous? That you cite all those items as being over-the-top rhetoric that cost the Republican Party its majorities at every level of government (which was my point about the DNC rhetoric), when they just won the largest majority of every level of government in a bzillion years.

One of these days you'll hesitate long enough to think before you type.

But today's not that day. And quite honestly I wouldn't expect much from you tomorrow.

Sure. And the rotation of the earth has nothing to do with how long a day is.

I know you have trouble understanding complex financial transactions, but this is a rather simple one.

During the financial crisis, the banks wanted as low of TARP allocation as possible, because the bigger the amount the bigger the problem and banks didn't want to be seen as in trouble (that's why they lied about LIBOR). There were many banks who didn't want any TARP money at all, but were forced to take it. Citi got the biggest infusion because it was the biggest basket case at the time, not because it funneled the most contributions to Obama.

Actually I like your point, in part. It shows how Democrats actually have to say intelligent things, whereas, the other side can vomit up chewed excrement and actually gain from it.

Rush Limbo is on everyday spewing garbage, and it works to fire up that base. Why? Think about it

Democrats Nominated Hillary a horrible candidate and ultimately elected Trump with many staying home or voting for him. He is officially "your guy".

Maybe then you can explain how contributions to Obama's campaign flavored Bush's and Paulson's actions in October 2008.

Stick to alien sightings and conspiracy theories involving spy programs. You still don't have a clue about these topics.

Rush Limbaugh? Really? Will a day ever come when you will produce even a whiff of an original thought?

You can't. And neither can your entire party.

But hey...you'll always have California, Detroit and the Greater Macungie Township!

Yup, two completely different points of reference about one company is proof enough that they're related. No wonder you never run out of theories.

The question was asked who made Obama's short list. Wikileaks provided the answer to that question. This is undeniable.

It's also undeniable that Citigroup donated across the aisle and was one of W's biggest donors as well. But you knew that before you asked your silly followup question about 08.

But you're right, Citigroup spent millions of dollars, hand picked Obama's cabinet, just so they wouldn't have any sway within the government they're buying on issues directly impacting their industry.

Like I said. Sure.

I'm guessing that green activists pushing an agenda behind the scenes at the EPA is all in the open.

Yeah, god forbid we have any environmentally conscientious people providing influence at the Environmental PROTECTION Agency. <_<

Again, the two are not related because banks were trying to get as little TARP as possible. Let alone that you don't even understand the difference between the various operating groups within bank holding companies. But yeah, its all Citibank for the simpletons
