Tipster19 Posted November 15, 2016 Author Posted November 15, 2016 Thanks for your service! I lived in a tent in the Middle East when the Bills went to the first Super Bowl. No internet. No TV. Only shortwave radio. An army Specialist woke me up at some god awful hour to tell me he heard on the BBC that the Bills won the Super Bowl on a last minute field goal. After I quizzed him, he said there was a lot of static and it was possible he had heard wrong. After hours of frantic radio searching, I discovered the sad truth. Hey Hondo, so sorry for the cruel mistake, it must have been a real heartbreaker when you finally learned the awful truth, especially when you were defending our rights to be free and be a fan of any team we choose! Many thanks to you and all the others who have allowed us our freedom(s)! I salute you sir! Go Bills!
SF Bills Fan Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 From OP now in San Francisco Hey Hondo, so sorry for the cruel mistake, it must have been a real heartbreaker when you finally learned the awful truth, especially when you were defending our rights to be free and be a fan of any team we choose! Many thanks to you and all the others who have allowed us our freedom(s)! I salute you sir! Go Bills! Ha! But at least you tasted what it would feel like if they won, briefly before the rug got yanked away.

vorpma Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 On the border of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait at a small store, I walked in wearing a Bills Cap. The owner, a Saudi, walks up to me and in perfect English starts talking Bills football. He attended UB and remained a die-hard fan! He knew and loved Buffalo, quite a Mighty Taco fan too!

Hahaha, looks like the Bills inspire a universal fraternity! All kidding aside, what I love about Western N'Yers is that when they realize that you're from there they come right up to you and start talking like they knew you for years, very friendly. Now I see that anyone, no matter where in this world where they are, if they have any association with that area are more than happy to communicate with each other. It's quite impressive actually and I'm proud to be from that region, I don't believe that there isn't any other people in the world like us! Go Bills!
elcrusho Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Do you travel to Jax for games? I've been twice for Bills games there, and Bills jerseys outnumber Jags about 5-1. There hasn't been a game in JAX yet, I moved here in October of 2012 and they played JAX in London

Bills Fan in Beantown Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Born in BLo - live in Massachusetts. There is a great Bills Backers of Boston group that has grown steadily over the last 10+ years since I've known it. Married a Pats fan from a Pats family, but my four year old knows all the words to the shout song and gets pissed at my wife for not putting on her Bills shirt like the rest of us. I'm in the Middle East, in a tent. Can't say exactly where. But I check this website at least 3 times a day. You guys are awesome, GO BILLS! This is awesome. Thanks for your service!
