YoloinOhio Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 (edited) http://www.footballoutsiders.com/film-room/2016/film-room-tyrod-taylor-0 Over the first month of the season, it looked like Taylor's hedging was a smart move. He endured major accuracy issues and the Bills passing game suffered because of him. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman was fired after Week 2. By Week 4, Taylor was averaging 6.6 yards per attempt and had thrown for four touchdowns with two interceptions. He had thrown for less than 120 yards in two games, and three of his touchdowns came in one outing, a loss to the New York Jets in Week 2. Taylor wasn't completely to blame, but he was a hindrance more than he was a help. While the numbers haven't changed dramatically, Taylor's performances pivoted after Week 4. He stopped missing open receivers with the same consistency, and he wasn't making bad decisions as often or forcing receivers to constantly (unnecessarily) adjust at the catch point. Taylor went from holding his teammates back to elevating them. He covered for blown blocks, created time for his receivers to get open, and threw the ball with much greater precision. His peak performance of the year came on Monday night against the Seahawks in Seattle. Edited November 10, 2016 by YoloinOhio
Southern Bills Fan Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 The Major isn't going to like this.
Seasons1992 Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 MAJbobby or something like that..... MAJ has come around after a blistering campaign early. As always, thanks to Yolo and 26Corner for the information we so dearly crave and dissect.
quinnearlysghost88 Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Taylor's finally starting to look more comfortable in year two. It's not perfect and it's not always pretty, but even with a roster of depleted WRs, he was effective vs a stout D in a very inhospitable stadium. 3rd down conversions are the key to wins, so I'd like to see him gain even more consistency in that area.
White Linen Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Things working out / being effective is a totally different thing than developing into a passer. Until he learns how to read defenses and situations and pass his way out of them in the pocket he'll always be what he is. A tremendous athlete with enormous athletic ability that gets him out of the mess he gets in.
Marty McFly Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Who is the Major? Major Bro. A Bro who is a Major at a military creel. Even he admitted Tyrod played at top gear Monday tho. We did really good on 3rd down that game. Bills went 12-17. While the Hawks went 2-7. Thats a huge improvement from last year

Thats a huge improvement from last year He's definitely not progressing. His improvisation is the only source of significant offense from him. Then when he needs to be a passer late in games it's not there. I don't believe it's something you learn to do.

Heck of a scrambler, though.
moshermw Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 Dude was absolute $ on Monday Night. See: offensive records set against the Seagulls by this O. Bills win it easily behind him without the D being basically air in the 1st half. Giddy to see what he does after 2 weeks without game punishment and getting reacquainted with Percy Harvin and the rest of the healing up WR corps and Shady. Still feel like all those athletes - including TT - on the same page can't be stopped.

Mark my words.
MAJBobby Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 I see I am getting blistered here. But I am pretty sure I said Taylor's best game as a Bill was Seattle. Cool do it again and again
