John from Riverside Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 All the refs had to do was actually CALL THE FOUL at the end of the game when we were driving for the TD (which would have been the right call anyway) and all would (well mostly) be forgiven on the Carp travesty. The refs had a chance to make it right...they didnt
Sisyphean Bills Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 It's a penalty whether the play was fully live or he was offsides and blown dead. He hit the kickers leg. Hard. It's roughing. It's totally on Sherman. As others have said up thread, it is not true that hitting a kicker's leg is a penalty. If a defensive player touches the ball then the kicker (and either or both of his legs) are fair game. I recall an NFL game where a punt was blocked, the player who blocked the kick continued and ran through and over the punter, and drove him so hard into the ground that his helmet spun around on his head. Not only did the punter limp off the field, he broke his nose. It's football.
