Rico Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 I'm reporting all of you mother !@#$ers. THIS IS A FAMILY BOARD GODAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where's Beerball when you need him.
Dragonborn10 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Mack and Carr in the same draft, wow. A little better than Sammy and Kujo. Bills would have still had to move up to get Mack. How much would you have paid even knowing how good Mack is now? Two first rounders for an OLB? They could have stayed where they were got a WR or Antony Barr. Never trade up. Never trade up.
r00tabaga Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Not a expert but I think OLB's & DE's are the easiest to project and I know he was really highly regarded by Draft guys. Not sure how much that would've been worth. Two 1sts & 6th?

Hindsight is always 20/20, but damn, the Raiders hit big. I remember some nitwit in here saying that EJ > Carr, just compare their 1st year stats.

r00tabaga Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Raiders are fun to watch when they're good. Those fans are gonna be really screwed when they win it all in L.V.
Rico Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Carr, like any rookie QB, wasnt that great. No, but unlike EJ, the potential was apparent to anyone watching him.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 (edited) No, but unlike EJ, the potential was apparent to anyone watching him. Or TT. It was clear Carr was meant to be a real QB. A pocket passer. Edited November 7, 2016 by joesixpack
TSOL Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 No, but unlike EJ, the potential was apparent to anyone watching him. Looking back, its hard to disagree with this. Although at the time i mighta been the guy who said EJ was better.
r00tabaga Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Carr right now has the positives from being a "gunslinger" and the positives from having a "quick" accurate arm, with little of the negative from those traits. INTs, indecision, etc. And oh, he's athletic. Oaktown got lucky this time.
Rico Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Or TT. It was clear Carr was meant to be a real QB. A pocket passer. Agreed on TT. Here in Baltimore, I had zero expectations for TT when he signed with the Bills. All the Ravens fans liked him and wished him luck, but no one was upset to see him go. He surprised me last year and I thought maybe the Bills lucked out, but he just hasn't been able to take the next step, too bad. If he's not running, he's not effective.
Dragonborn10 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 I'm not ready to give up on TT. Most of the NFL was ready to run McKenzie out of Oakland. We could do a lot worse than Whaley. Just wish Watkins was healthy to see the offense as it was meant to be on the field.
