Teams usually do that when player has recovered from injury and in last year of contract so a player can attempt to find a position for remainder of year. Team which put him on IR cannot resign player to prevent P*ts style cheating.

Actually he can resign with the Bills, they have to wait 3 weeks though. It's part of the new injury settlement. It used to be 6 weeks wait. In the meantime he can sign with any other teams.

The settlement takes him off IR and means he's passed a physical, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to do the settlement.

Wayne they were just explaining that on WGR.....interesting

If they can get Percy, Sammy, Salas, Woods, Hunter, Goodwin

All of a sudden the WR's look a lot better

Just in time for the last ditch effort to avoid DQ from playoffs!

It's a nice way of getting him back on the team, if that's what's happening, without them having to use the IR designation.

yes they do, unfortunately we'll be 5-7 or something like that by the time the WR gang is back together. Injuries sink another season. But hey, the garbage time last 4 weeks of the season will be fun to watch :wallbash:

With a well placed bye it's only two games.
