BuffaloBaumer Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Does the NFL really have to wonder why the ratings go down every week? I have never seen such garbage match-ups that they put on tv on Sundays. Add the worst schedule I have ever seen for Monday and Thursday Night Football and....well
KD in CA Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Here's the real problem: what would be good match-ups? There are very few teams that are good and entertaining. It is a league awash in mediocre talent and coaching. They have harmed the product with the usual over-thinking; over-thinking the rule book, the player safety stuff, the officiating, etc.
Mr. WEO Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 This super hot take was begging for another thread. Thank you.

Generally there is only 1 good team in each division, the odd time 2 teams and the afc south probably 0 good teams. When those good division teams play 6 times against mediocre teams in their division, that makes up roughly 40 percent of the schedule right there. Combine the fact that bad teams play other bad teams in other divisions. Almost needs to be lucky to have 2 good teams match up on a consistent basis
BuffaloBaumer Posted November 4, 2016 Author Posted November 4, 2016 They can't find good teams to play each other on Monday night anymore? Take the "every city needs a THursday night game" and throw it out the window.
