26CornerBlitz Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 @si_nfl SI's 2016 Midseason All-Pro selections: Julio Jones was a unanimous pick—the races at other spots were much tighter http://on.si.com/2fLcrAe LINEBACKER: Lorenzo Alexander, Buffalo BillsThe 33-year-old former special teams ace has been a revelation this year, leading the league with nine sacks at midseason (the Bills' Week 8 loss to the Patriots was his first game without at least half a sack to his credit). In Week 5 against the Rams, he had a three-sack day. @LedyardNFLDraft The Lorenzo Alexander story: UDFA, 290 lb DT been w/6 teams, 3 P-squads, IR 2x, Cut 2x, now 245 lb OLB leading NFL in sacks at 33 years old.
NoSaint Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Really is amazing how he's worked out. 1 in 1000 type of odds for it to play out like it has
26CornerBlitz Posted November 4, 2016 Author Posted November 4, 2016 @buffalobills No surprise here: Lorenzo Alexander + Zach Brown are getting midseason Defensive Player of the Year nods. The list: http://bufbills.co/rgdHHO
Dr.Sack Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 If there's one thing I can say about him is that he reminds me of Fred Jackson.
rant_and_go Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Congrats to Lorenzo. Give some credit to Jerry Hughes too.
Dragonborn10 Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Congrats. Kyle Williams and Cordy Glenn are playing crazy good too.

MattM Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 A little credit to Doug Whaley for sniffing these guys out might be in order don't you think?
Fadingpain Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 A little credit to Doug Whaley for sniffing these guys out might be in order don't you think? Doug is a scout at heart, just ask him. He's good at that. Doesn't have the IQ to be the overall manager of the team.
PromoTheRobot Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 A little credit to Doug Whaley for sniffing these guys out might be in order don't you think?Nonsense. Everyone knows any good players the Bills have wandered in off the street themselves. Whaley only makes mistakes.

Isn't that his job at heart, to scout and land talent through FA and the draft, all while balancing the cap? Absent the QB position (but I find it a little tough to fault him there, since we've never really had the chance to draft a sure fire one early) I'd say he's done a decent job on stocking the talent pool, but that may just be my opinion.

What a Tuel Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 A little credit to Doug Whaley for sniffing these guys out might be in order don't you think? No Superbowl no credit. Fire the FO. The unknown is obviously better.
