LabattBlue Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 They are looking at moving the #1 overall pick of the 2000 draft, Courtney Brown to LB in a 3-4 scheme and the #3 overall pick of the 2001 draft Gerald Warren has been given the ok to seek a trade. How do you fug up top 3 picks in back to back years?

silvermike Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Come on, Fla, with Rivers and Manning, there was no way the could have gotten value from a top pick like that - some dude from the MAC with a dumb name and a squirrely punk from Tulane...
MadBuffaloDisease Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 I'm curious to know if these guys were busts because they were drafted by Cleveland, or just never had it in them to play in the NFL? We'll never know, but I'm sure a guy like Belchick would have taken either of them, but what could he have done with them?
Thailog80 Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 How about Tim Couch?!! 252119 Did he get injured or did he just suck so bad that no one else took a chance on him? I knew GB was going to or did pick him up but were the hell is he now?
BRH Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Not to start another useless debate, but could Warren be a replacement for Phat Pat?
Alaska Darin Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Did he get injured or did he just suck so bad that no one else took a chance on him? I knew GB was going to or did pick him up but were the hell is he now? 252122 Hard to say. It's inherently stupid to pick a franchise QB and then play him behind a terrible OLine, with VERY average or below skill position players. The Browns were basically the model of how NOT to bring along a young QB.
Wiz Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Cleveland was screwed by the league. They didn't have an organization until 8 mo's before the season started. The NFL used Cleveland as leverage for the other teams trying to get new stadiums, and other tax subsidized goodies.
