26CornerBlitz Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 and if not fully guaranteed, could be less than that if he doesnt work out. Probably on a game by game basis.
NoSaint Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 (edited) IDK,has them over a barrel. Isn't Bush's contract guaranteed? Maybe some incentive clauses for Harvin? bush's was because he was a vet on the week 1 roster Edited November 1, 2016 by NoSaint
buffaloboyinATL Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 This season is cooked. So we signed a receiver, which we needed, and NOW our season is cooked?
C.Biscuit97 Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 It's funny that a lot of people who killed Mario for quitting seem to be giving Harvin a pass. At least been consistent.
NoSaint Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Probably on a game by game basis. that would be my guess, but with the unusual situation im not quite to the point of assuming it. realistically though, probably the case.
moshermw Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Good move in a situation with few options - and leaves draft, roster and salary cap options open in '17. Speaking of few options but someone who knows TT and the offense, does anybody know what happened to Jarett Boykin ? Not a game-breaker speed wise but is big, physical, runs good routes and can at least catch a cold. He and TT set all the passing records together at VT. Not sure how close he was to making the 53 with all those WR options ..... oh, what a difference 3 months make ...

Quitting on your team by being a little B word is far different for retiring due to health and injury concerns. Not the same thing.
gordong Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 anybody giving odds how many games he actually plays??? my over / under 3
Peter Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 I really do not understand why some people are so up in arms over this signing. It makes a lot of sense under the circumstances on multiple levels (as I mentioned previously and as Joe B tweeted). Quitting on your team by being a little B word is far different for retiring due to health and injury concerns. Not the same thing. Huuuuuuuge distinction. Well said.
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Anything will help but he probably gets hurt in first game back due to not being in Football shape He'd probably get hurt in one game anyway. It's worth a try, and I don't hate the move. Harvin makes sense, but Whaley stockpiling IR receivers is almost comical.
OldTimer1960 Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 I am a little surprised at all the negativity over this move. Yes, Harvin had decided to retire and yes, he needs to be handled with kid gloves, but he is talented and this team is flat out of NFL WRs - anyone that watched the last 2 games should understand that. There was no magic trade for a good veteran WR that was realistically going to materialize, so this looks like about as good an option as they had. They did not have to give up any draft picks or players to bring Harvin back, as they would otherwise have had to do if they were to trade for a WR (and who really is available and at what price?)
BringBackOrton Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Quitting on your team by being a little B word is far different for retiring due to health and injury concerns. Not the same thing. I don't know if you saw, but he just unretired at the drop of a hat. Clearly not that concerning.
Just in Atlanta Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Too much negativity. We are ridiculously thin at WR and need help ASAP. Harvin is an above average talent. Stop your mindless whining. This is a solid move, assuming he's in game day shape.
FLFan Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 You do know that the roster is only 53 players, right? Kind of hard to go three deep at every position. True enough. Not that anyone cares on witch hunt Tuesdays. For the record, 2 of their top 3 receivers were out on Sunday and the third was clearly hobbled. Number 4(Salas) is also on IR. The Bills were literally playing numbers 5 and 6 on the depth chart in key roles, and everyone is surprised the passing game does not look good. No teams go that deep and no QBs look good in that scenario.
YoloinOhio Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 (edited) The fact that he already knows the offense and has played with TT had to play a huge role in this move at this point of the season, since they have an urgent need at the position Edited November 1, 2016 by YoloinOhio

He bailed on the team and didn't let them know anything for weeks. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.yahoo.com/amphtml/sports/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/rex-ryan--report-have-conflicting-stories-on-why-percy-harvin-s-not-in-london-155421296.html?client=safari He also has a history of quitting. https://www.google.com/amp/www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/report-wr-percy-harvin-refused-to-enter-3-games-this-year/amp/?client=safari But since he's a Bill and not a Dolphin, it's all good!
MAJBobby Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Heck they were already essentially on the hook for 2M (dead money) for being retired. Why not give him another 1M and maybe get something out of him
C.Biscuit97 Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Maybe Andre Reed. I would rather him or Moulds.
moshermw Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Taylor's completions per game: 15 18 14 27 12 16 14 22 No one is getting 12 catches in a game. OK, not my prediction but I'll go with 1 catch for 73 yds, 1 TD
