NoSaint Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Wait so they passed up Marrone for OC? Btw the QB is the worst part of their team and he's the QB coach He doesn't have a playbook and isn't a play caller so....
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 marrone = best coach bills have had in last 16 years People will mock this but I tend to agree
Marty McFly Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Why did Olsen get benched and canned? Anyone have insight on this?
CSBill Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Well, "obviously" Douggie is in line to be the next HC.
John from Riverside Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Wait a minute so i have heard right here on this board that despite the jags picking ahead of us in the draft every year they are light years ahead of us ??????
vincec Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Marrone is shrewdly waiting in the wings for Bradley to go down. If/when Bradley goes down I doubt that they are going to hire from within.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 I thought Olsen was still playing TE
vincec Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora 8m8 minutes ago The Jags moves today - firing Olson and installing Hackett as OC essentially paves way for Marrone to take over as interim HC at some point Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora 7m7 minutes ago If/when the Jags make a change at head coach in-season, Marrone slides up to the HC and you already have his guy running the offense This makes absolutely no sense. When Bradley goes they are going to clean house, not rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic.
Cripple Creek Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 @adamcaplanNFL While verbiage won't change for #Jaguars offense, Hackett believes in playing with more speed, tempo. That should help Bortles. Worked wonders for EJ.
Fixxxer Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Damn, for a moment there I thought you were talking about the Panthers TE.
ALF Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 (edited) Bortles was utterly horrendous, and frankly, lucky not to get benched His stats do not tell the story of a quarterback who was tossing painful wobblers all evening. His motion has become a cross between side-armed Matthew Stafford and Tim Tebow. At times it looked like he was trying to toss a fully-baked turkey. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9320/blake-bortles Saint Doug and the Prophet Nathaniel have there work cut out for them once again. I find this promotion of Hacket dubious at best. If the QB is the biggest problem on the team, why promote his coach? Tanking???
The Fredonia Curse Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 marrone = best coach bills have had in last 16 years Ignoring his constant clock management mistakes, challenge success rates and overall football IQ. Yea he was pretty good.
Coach Tuesday Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 I watched that horrid Thursday night game (nice product, NFL!) - the Jags' defense was atrocious. They weren't tackling anyone and were constantly out of position. That team is a tire fire and there are a lot of high picks on that roster. Bradley is Dead Man Walking and if they think Marrone is going to save the day, well... just wait.
PO16FFS Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Ignoring his constant clock management mistakes, challenge success rates and overall football IQ. Yea he was pretty good. This is not a Rex thread.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 This makes absolutely no sense. When Bradley goes they are going to clean house, not rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic. They won't completely clean house until the Titanic finally plunges into the North Atlantic at the end of the season. I think Gus lasts another week or two and gets canned. Marrone is interim HC until the end of the season, is fired, and is an assistant quality control coach next season with Cleveland.
ganesh Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Wait so they passed up Marrone for OC? Btw the QB is the worst part of their team and he's the QB coach I am sure they have tabbed him for the HC if Bradley continues to falter.
NoSaint Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 This makes absolutely no sense. When Bradley goes they are going to clean house, not rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic. You don't clean house week 11 If this was the case, Bradley should have Rexed the whole deal - fire the impending interim and elevate an unknown quantity. I find this promotion of Hacket dubious at best. If the QB is the biggest problem on the team, why promote his coach? Tanking??? Because play calling is a totally different skill set? Not saying he's good at either, just noting how different they are so being mediocre at one doesn't preclude you from being great at the other
