boyst Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 (edited) Nate Hackett to take over OC position in Jax. Only due time for Marrone to come in at Hc Edited October 29, 2016 by Boyst62
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Wouldn't surprise me if Hackett expands the offense beyond what he did here. Instead of his 6 plays, maybe he'll go with 8.
Fadingpain Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Rumors of Nate Hackett being a boy genius were greatly exaggerated.
What a Tuel Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Nate Hackett to take over OC position in Jax. Only due time for Marrone to come in at Hc What has this guy done in this league to prove qualified as an QB Coach let alone a OC?
YoloinOhio Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Wait so they passed up Marrone for OC? Btw the QB is the worst part of their team and he's the QB coach
Fadingpain Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 What has this guy done in this league to prove qualified as an QB Coach let alone a OC? At best, very little. At worst, absolutely nothing.
YoloinOhio Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 @adamcaplanNFL While verbiage won't change for #Jaguars offense, Hackett believes in playing with more speed, tempo. That should help Bortles.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Wait so they passed up Marrone for OC? Btw the QB is the worst part of their team and he's the QB coach Marrone is shrewdly waiting in the wings for Bradley to go down.
YoloinOhio Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 (edited) @adamcaplanNFL Also, look for Hackett to help Bortles get ball out faster. Tape shows he has been hesitant, too slow to get ball out. #Jaguars HC Gus Bradley now will be on his 3rd OC with this move. He's on his 2nd DC. Edited October 29, 2016 by YoloinOhio
DrDawkinstein Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 @adamcaplanNFL While verbiage won't change for #Jaguars offense, Hackett believes in playing with more speed, tempo. That should help Bortles. Run'em til he pukes. Marrone is shrewdly waiting in the wings for Bradley to go down. Wont be surprised to see Marrone as HC there in the next couple of weeks.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 @adamcaplanNFL While verbiage won't change for #Jaguars offense, Hackett believes in playing with more speed, tempo. That should help Bortles. This might actually be true. They have nice skill guys and a horrid line. Unless of course they don't move the chains.
Reed83HOF Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Wont be surprised to see Marrone as HC there in the next couple of weeks. Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora 8m8 minutes ago The Jags moves today - firing Olson and installing Hackett as OC essentially paves way for Marrone to take over as interim HC at some point Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora 7m7 minutes ago If/when the Jags make a change at head coach in-season, Marrone slides up to the HC and you already have his guy running the offense
Rockinon Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Rumors of Nate Hackett being a boy genius were greatly exaggerated. I always wondered if Marone was the bigger problem. Seemed like a control freak and wouldn't let Hackett do his job. Might surprise us. Not likely, but who knows?
reddogblitz Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 What has this guy done in this league to prove qualified as an QB Coach let alone a OC? He used to break down Joe Montana game films at his father's knee.
Rockinon Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Marrone is shrewdly waiting in the wings for Bradley to go down. That is not a word I would use to describe Doug Marrone.
bobobonators Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 What has this guy done in this league to prove qualified as an QB Coach let alone a OC? Im always amazed at the level of nepotism in the NFL.
gordong Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Those two deserve each other, glad they left! no room for the quitter and his side kick around Bills Mafia.
PO16FFS Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 marrone = best coach bills have had in last 16 years
Saint Doug Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora 8m8 minutes ago The Jags moves today - firing Olson and installing Hackett as OC essentially paves way for Marrone to take over as interim HC at some point Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora 7m7 minutes ago If/when the Jags make a change at head coach in-season, Marrone slides up to the HC and you already have his guy running the offense This is complete nonsense. This is akin to trying to "hide" a player on the practice squad. If they were serious about handing the HC job to Marrone, he would've been made the OC. Unless Bradley is purposely sabotaging him.
