Zamboni Man Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Mike Williams to the Buffalo Bills in rd. 2? I wish, but Mike Williams won't make it past the top 10, maybe even top 5.
d_wag Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 So, his two years out of football and attitude problems are going to continue to cost him -- no matter how much damage control he and his agent provide leading up to the draft. 252953 willis blew out his knee and still got drafted in the first round.........not many thought that would happen, but it just goes to show you never know with question mark type players like clarett.......
obie_wan Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Agreed. Ironically, I think the Vikings take Mike Williams at #7 to replace Moss, and the Raiders take Clarett with their first pick in Round 3. 251938 Vikes will draft Braylon Edwards, even if they have to move up to get him
Buckeye Eric Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Clarett, even with all the baggage, may be a very good choice as a back-up to Willis. That is an interesting choice. Shaud Williams is a nice change of pace and maybe 3rd down back in spots but he is not a solid #2 if your #1 goes down. Clarett has talent and we would not need to rely on him. 251929 Clarett is a real head case and would prove to be nothing but a Randy Moss distraction. He played less than one year in college and has not had contact in 2 years. His only talent is to only think about himself.

As for your second sentence- fresh legs! That said, drafting Clarett would not be a good move for the Bills. If the Bills drafted him about 10 seconds later every sports reporter in the land would be hounding McGahee for a quote to see what he thinks about the pick, just as they did Henry when Willis was drafted. The Bledsoe gone/JP starting distraction is enough, we don't need another one next season.
Ralonzo Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 TD was one of Clarett's biggest critics last year. I doubt very much they are thinking of taking him. 252768 Correct, TD has red-flagged Clarett and will not draft him, according to a Washington Post article.
