BADOLBILZ Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 25th in completion percentage for a starting quarterback. That's pretty much the only statistic I need. Trying to place blame elsewhere or parse up causation is pointless. If people recall........early last season Tyrod was completing passes at a near historically high rate when he had a full complement of playmaking receivers. The way to take advantage of his ability is to give him targets who get wide open. That may seem like an obvious take.......but Tyrod does one thing great that many top passers can't do.......he can buy A LOT of time. A guy like Brady has to get the ball out in well under 3 seconds or he will get killed so he has to be a quick thinking tight window passer to succeed. Tyrod can buy close to an extra second on average....literally 1/3 more time.....so add great receivers to that equation and you have wide open targets that Tyrod can throw to with similar results as Brady....but on his terms. I know it's hard to address every part of your team but trying to get by with just Sammy and a bunch of mediocre targets that only a HOF small window passer could love was a poor decision.
