Peter Posted October 27, 2016 Author Posted October 27, 2016 You still don't see the difference between what the Pegulas did and what Kahn did? It's a basic difference. A contrast, really. And no, no one saw the Entourage movie. As I clearly stated in the OP (but was ignored by some), Kahn met with players and owners and the Pegulas met with certain players. It also is a distinction without a difference with respect to the issue that I was addressing: whether an owner is a "meddling" owner. Of course, as I am sure you already know (or should know), the Pegulas have met with players before as well as that time with the knowledge and consent of the head coach. In my judgment, neither Khan nor the Pegulas are "meddling" owners. If one pays millions of dollars for something, they have the absolute right to speak with their employees. If you believe that the Pegulas are meddling owners because they met with certain players, we clearly disagree. Carry on with your crusade . . . . Did you comprehend the part about Khan meeting with the coaches as well? The crux of the matter with the Bills was the initial [apparently wrong] suggestion that Pegula met with players behind the back of coaching to see what was wrong, and then fired the OC as a result of those meetings. When everyone is included, it's different. Unless you do not follow the Buffalo Bills, you know that this is an untrue statement.
sir andrew Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 They may still win the division too. Man, I hate playing the AFC East.

Mr. WEO Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Why do you care how the Pegulas did it? I don't, really (as with everything in the NFL--outside of the games, it's all for our further entertainment and the billionaires are part of the show)... just trying to nail down what has become a moving target with the OP.

He seemed pretty clear that this was primarily a dig at the media, who made a mountain out of a molehill. Never mind that a 4 game winning streak followed. The question is: "will the Jags enjoy any winning streak?" Doubtful.
YoloinOhio Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 (edited) Some talk on Sirius today about David Caldwell and how he needs to own the Bortles pick and how that ain't good for him. Just interesting in that there were several on TBD that were pulling for Caldwell to get the Bills GM job (he IS from Buffalo, so must be awesome)... no. Just no. He wasn't even qualified for the Jags job but was the only personnel guy they could get to take it. The Colts and Falcons were both happy to move him "forward" to get him out. Probably a decent scout. Edited October 27, 2016 by YoloinOhio

26CornerBlitz Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 @JaySkurski Doug Marrone's totally going to be the coach when the #Jaguars come to Buffalo next month, isn't he? @ChrisBurke_SI Bye, Gus.

26CornerBlitz Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 @viccarucci Gus Bradley likely is coaching his final game w the #Jaguars. His players are playing for a new HC. Doug Marrone anyone? it won't be Gus. He's done after this non-effort. @viccarucci #Jaguars are at the game strictly to wear those neat uniforms & helmets. Otherwise, they have no other reason to occupy a football field.
r00tabaga Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 They are totally quitting on their coach. The WRs are dogging on Bortles too. Am I the only one who likes the Jags mustard unis???
Saxum Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Thanks for your contribution Bucky. P.S. It is ironic that you would use the word "crusade" in your earlier post in this thread. Hmmmm. You need to know the difference between Bucky and Sucky - one gets paid to bash the Bills and other pays the bills to bash.
NoSaint Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Can we vote that this one did not work out well?
That's No Moon Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 I have Allen Robinson and Sammy on two of my fantasy football teams and was expecting big things from them. They are killing my team. I don't know what the problem with Allen and the Jags is this year Never...draft...Bills...

Doc Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Maybe Shad needs to have a private meeting with the players.
What a Tuel Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) Nice try. The big blowup occurred here on this board--not so much in the local media (who didn't break the story). You are clear as to who your target is. Just own up to it. I think you ignore the role the media plays in stirring up the masses. People put too much trust and emphasis in the media. http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2016/09/pegulas_met_with_buffalo_bills_players_before_dismissing_roman_says_ian_rapoport.html Pegula's met with Buffalo Bills players before dismissing Roman ]http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/09/18/report-bills-owners-met-with-offensive-players-with-rex-ryan-present/] Bills owners met with offensive players without Rex Ryan present http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/rex-ryan-reportedly-irate-about-bills-owners-meeting-with-players-in-private/ Rex Ryan reportedly irate about bills owners meeting with players in private http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000704103/article/rex-wasnt-at-ownersplayers-meetings-before-romans-firing Rex wasn't at owners/players meetings before romans firing http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2016/9/18/12958644/report-pegulas-held-players-only-meeting-before-firing-roman-rex-not Report pegulas held players only meeting before firing roman rex not involved And Yahoo which won't link correctly says "Report: Bills Owners met with players behind Rex Ryan's back" Oh and our beloved Jerry Sullivan: Wow. And you know who looks really foolish here? Terry Pegula, the sainted owner. I've thought from the start that Pegula had no clue about how to run a professional sports franchise. But I didn't think he was capable of a move this sleazy and transparent. http://buffalonews.com/2016/09/16/defense-fails-fire-offensive-coordinator/ Edited October 28, 2016 by What a Tuel
