r henderson Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Regardless to who was not playing today, there where some missed opportunities that could have made the difference. Sooner or later not being able to make plays through the air was going to come back and bite us. Granted our defense got lit up, but when your time of possession is almost doubled it's kind of hard to stay fresh. I'm a "BIG Tyrod" fan, but there were too many times on 3rd and short where drives were stalled. This was a winnable game, but when you let teams stay in the game somethings bond to happen. And it did!!!!!
Big C Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 He made some mistakes but this is the first game I've really questioned Lynn's playcalling. Some strange calls, burning more clock, etc. That and our OL was getting beat by their DL most of the game.
TallskiWallski83 Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 (edited) This team lives and dies with its ability to run the ball and stop the run and it's going to be this way until Sammy comes back. Miami beat us at our own game today Edited October 23, 2016 by TallskiWallski83
PO16FFS Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 (edited) Dont blame Tyrod...He once again passed for only 222 yards...14-28. HAHAH Dont blame Tyrod. Edited October 23, 2016 by PO16FFS

TakeYouToTasker Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Tyrod was horrible today, not the only reason for the loss, but a major one. Tough to overcome poor QB play in this league.
MAJBobby Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 This loss likely is the playoffs as well when you now see our AFC record
Big Gun Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Dont blame Tyrod...He once again passed for only 222 yards...14-28. HAHAH Dont blame Tyrod. Take away the Goodwin bomb and TT had like 110 yards passing half way through the 4th quarter. With that 67 yard Goodwin bomb TT still only had 220 yards passing. How does anybody think that is good enough, ever! The defense has been good the last 4 weeks and has covered up the QB deficiency this team has. Unfortunately the defense just couldn't cover that deficiency today.
Wayne Arnold Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Tyrod was horrible today, not the only reason for the loss, but a major one. Tough to overcome poor QB play in this league. I've been critical of Taylor all year but he's not the reason we lost this game. Not even in the Top 10 reasons. He absolutely needed to hit a wide open Goodwin with the game on the line. If your QB can't make that play, you need to keep looking for one.

TakeYouToTasker Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 I've been critical of Taylor all year but he's not the reason we lost this game. Not even in the Top 10 reasons. Tyrod's inability to sustain any drives in the second half led to an exhausted defense, and the Dolphins possessing the ball for almost 2/3 of the game. Tyrod was woefully inaccurate today, had happy feet, felt ghost pressure, bailed on clean pockets, missed wide open receivers on almost every drop back, didn't use the middle of the field against a two deep safety look which is almost criminal, and got Goodwin injured on a play where he should have hit him for a TD because the pass came out so late and inaccurate.

MAJBobby Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Oh please. He wasn't great but had no running game and had a bevy of c-list receivers to throw to. He has a top 5 TE in the NFL that is invisible because he wont throw to him because of the location of the field Clay runs his routes in.

What have taken a very nice throw to fit it in that tight window. Not enough air and it's picked by Maxwell. Too much air? Exactly what happened. Not to say it wasn't a makeable throw but it was a lot harder than it looked
dave mcbride Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 The receivers were open all game. Tyrod didn't see them, and when he did, he was inaccurate. I gather you have access to the all-22.
BADOLBILZ Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Tyrod just isn't a tight window throw maker........the Dolphins were daring him to throw......everything is high or behind....... There was a play where he ran on third down and killed a drive when he had O'Leary wide open in front of him by the sideline......just standing there.......it's perplexing at times. They really needed to go all on in playmakers for Tyrod last offseason........he is Fitz like in that regard.......give him a bunch of big playmaking targets and he will buy time and find them and big plays will be made. But ask him to thread the needle over and over to mediocre NFL receivers and this is what you get.
Fixxxer Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Even O'leary on 3rd and short who was wide open in front of his damn face... yeah, that was bad, at least attempt the pass to him.
