26CornerBlitz
@AlbertBreer Here's the letter the NFL sent to Josh Brown to inform him he's been added to the commissioner's exempt list.
Mr. WEO
@SportsCenter JUST IN: Giants' K Josh Brown will be moved to Commissioner's exempt list, and is unlikely to play for team again. (via @mortreport) @SportsCenter UPDATE: Multiple sources doubt Brown will ever play in NFL again, but kicker can still collect his salary. https://t.co/LauAXfGKkL But... "The Giants did nothing!" TakeYouToTasker
But... "The Giants did nothing!" Waiting for someone to argue that Ray Rice was given more support than Josh Brown by his team and the NFL because he is black.
NoSaint
Even if NFL fans aren't discussing it, it is kind of ignoring the elephant in the room. Furious outrage at the NFL for allowing pervasive domestic violence in its culture by giving light or minimum punishments to perpetrators, but prosecutors whose job it is to pursue cases such as these and ensure that people who commit crimes are punished isn't shown in a bad light at all. Almost like it is up to their discretion to charge people or not, but the NFL does it and SCANDAL!!! It just seems so backwards. we are on a football board we also know the nfl has widely different clearances to meet for punishment compared to a prosecutor

aristocrat
it sounds like the nfl handled this one the same as the rice and hardy ones. did some kind of investigation, suspended him then found out it was way worse and now he's out for good. CommonCents
The notion that the NFL and Goddell treated Brown any better or worse than the previous offenders is a total crock of ****. The team tried to defend their guy and get past his mistakes, the NFL turned a blind eye until the public was made aware of the severity of the situation. They are now conducting a new investigation and put Brown on the exempt list. Same as they did Rice ETC, skin color is oh so important though because why? Because race baiting is the popular thing to do. Garbage. Go play with the sharks in PPP they must be starving for fresh meat by now. DV is a black eye on the league the same way SJW warriors are a black eye on society. Brown is the same kind of inhuman trash that Rice and company are... Claims that this is Goddell's last straw lol...

3rdand12
Burn the house down. seriously. with Josh Brown in it. Epitomizes the NFL's insane perspective on how itself should appear to the public. zero tolerance is what the answer is for what the NFL speak has been about. reality is another matter but, please do not talk out both sides of your mouth Nfl owners. And lets please keep in mind, That is who is to blame here. Call Mara out. Insidious mf, Kraft too while you are burning Castles down Edited October 22, 2016 by 3rdand12
Kirby Jackson
This is slightly off topic, but why is the NFL so bad at running their business? They can't keep up with the times. I've been reading about the move to legalize sports gambling and the NBA (by miles the best run league) is all for it. Baseball and hockey are a little indifferent and the NFL is pushing back. They have ZERO foresight. They have a product that is idiotproof run by a bunch of idiots. If you took the NBA leadership from owners, gms, presidents and commissioner and flip flopped them with the NFL group the NBA would be out of business and the NFL would be twice as big. I've worked in both leagues and know 1,000+ people in both and the quality of mind in the NBA is so far superior to the morons around the NFL. Fortunately the Bills are an exception and have really intelligent people calling the shots (this may exclude the Pegulas).
