Beef Jerky Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Would you welcome Fitz back as our back up next year when Manuel is gone? I would. Nope
Big C Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Fitz conned that team for a cool $12 mil. Good work.
thebandit27 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Would you welcome Fitz back as our back up next year when Manuel is gone? I would. For a reasonable contract, yes
Gugny Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Fitz conned that team for a cool $12 mil. Good work. He's 2/2. I think he'll be just fine being a backup for the rest of his career, now.
LeGOATski Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Yikes...I'd be interested to watch Petty or Hackenberg play a real game.
dulles Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 That team is a walking disaster area... how did we lose to them in week 2? When Fitz is retired, that is the game he will pull out to show to the grandkids. That was his best performance ever. He regressed to the mean and the rest is history! Geno starting is clearly a tank move! They are gunning for one of the top 3 spots in the draft.
DC Greg Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Would you welcome Fitz back as our back up next year when Manuel is gone? I would. Eh... Kind of hoping Cardale steps up into that role. They're both trash.
The Big Cat Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 Eh... Kind of hoping Cardale steps up into that role. They're both trash. Yeah. When I read these posts with people feeling like EJ would be better, I just assume they forget 12 gauge is still on the roster.
Malazan Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Nothing like replacing a pile of poop with a pile of sh*t
Maury Ballstein Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Hell no, don't want fitz anywhere near this team.
bobobonators Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Ironically, The worst thing that couldve happened to Bowles last year was have have fitzpatrick put up a career (and franchise record year) for the Jets and go 10-6. That team overachieved and came into this season with high expectations. Now in season 2 everyone is wondering why theyre so bad and blaming Bowles for not knowing how to coach.

That team overachieved and came into this season with high expectations. Now in season 2 everyone is wondering why theyre so bad and blaming Bowles for not knowing how to coach. Many of us fought the tide and noted how last year's Jets padded their record against a soft schedule and only beat one winning team (the Pats***). We were told how foolish we are and what a great new HC Bowles is. The Jets are the pick to threaten the Pats*** this year with Fitz, they said...
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Wonder what Fitz has made over his career. At least $50m I bet Fitz collects paychecks like he throws interceptions. @AroundTheNFL Jets owner Woody Johnson backs Todd Bowles' decision to start Geno Smith '100 percent' http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000723914/article/geno-smith-to-start-at-qb-for-jets-vs-ravens how long before Petty starts. 26CornerBlitz Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Fitz collects paychecks like he throws interceptions. how long before Petty starts. Stop your Petty thinking. He ain't ready, but if Geno falters and the Jets' slide continues he'll see action before the season ends.
The Big Cat Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 Hey, remember when this whole thing started after Geno's own team mate broke his jaw during training camp?
IDBillzFan Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 You're right. Chances are very slim that Geno lights it up, goes on a wild win streak, and then re-signs with the Jets. They can't start Hackinsack. The only move is to start Petty and see what you got in him. You know Fitz isn't coming back. You know Geno isn't coming back. You know Hack is not going to be ready even next year. You have to sign a vet starter unless for some reason Petty suprises everyone. Might as well give him a shot. I agree with this. If the Jets were smart, they'd start getting Petty reps while they stand in line for Romo.

He ain't ready, but if Geno falters and the Jets' slide continues he'll see action before the season ends. it's been 3 yrs right, now or never baby! I would take Fitz as a backup as he would be great off the bench but doubt he takes the paycut. No Biggie Chad will be our back up anyway
BuffaloHokie13 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Yeah. When I read these posts with people feeling like EJ would be better, I just assume they forget 12 gauge is still on the roster. Sadly, he's only 7 gauge now...
