boyst Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I wish he would go back on stern so I can call in
Kirby Jackson Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 (edited) Well, the thought was that he was the grease-man for MLSE.... who may be able to afford it, but they can't really compete with the mega-wealthy. As far as I know, MLSE and Tanenbaum have a few Billion, but it is in sports holdings and not cash-ready. Then, the stadium issue. You would think if the Titans were at a point where their lease was escape-able and there was a wink-wink desire of the owners to be willing to allow them to move... there would be a degree of competition which pretty much eliminates MLSE Except, Bon Jovi was not going to concede being the lead owner. He is not wealthy enough to be the lead owner. The requirements are 30%, but he did not have the financial means, at the time, to be the front man (pun intended). lol at the people who still don't understand that Bon Jovi would be part of a group buying a team Lol at the people that still don't understand what is required to buy a team. The "Lead" owner needs to own at least 30%. Bon Jovi has a net worth of $300M. He has vowed that he would be the lead guy. Obviously, MSLE would be the money people involved but his entire net worth isn't enough to have that 30% stake. He was a longshot when teams were selling for $800M. He is out of the conversation at $1.4B+. Edited October 19, 2016 by Kirby Jackson
Chuck Wagon Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 A lot of buzz (hope?) here in Ohio is Haslam will sell the Browns to buy the Titans as he's a Tennessee guy.
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 A crappy rocker in the music city? Actually there's quite a lot of them living there these days. Plus crappy rock pretty much defines the music Nashvile puts out these days. He's just starting to look desperate for a team imo.
Nick the Greek Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I still refuse to listen to his music.
chris heff Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 who's his big partner? the adams family needs to just figure out who is in charge and figure it out. I think Morticia should be in charge.
vorpma Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Toronto Titans has a nice ring to it. Nashville is supporting the Titans easily through season tickets, corporate sales, and merchandise; too much money in Nashville. Titans are not going anywhere.
ddaryl Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 (edited) Bon Jovi is to music as McDonald's is to dining. He's a joke. And he can't afford an NFL team. Not a fan but he's stayed true to his sound and his band... I have a respect for that. that being said Bon Jovi music should never be played in WNY again Edited October 19, 2016 by ddaryl
Buffalo_Stampede Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Bon Jovi owning a team in Music City. Makes sense.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 @Sportsnet Bon Jovi shoots down rumours about his interest in owning the #Titans http://sprtsnt.ca/2dosIdD
