TC in St. Louis Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 This seems to be sort of a quiet topic, but Shaq Lawson is coming off the disabled list. I read somewhere that he's in perfect health. I think that could add a new dimension to our defense. If Dareus can get healthy, and we get Lawson up to speed, this could be a huge addition to an already pretty good defense. I'm stoked.
JPicc2114 Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Don't expect to see Lawson play much. He has never taken a NFL snap. He will probably spot sub Alexander for a while

Bring him/them on slowly, they're excellent additions to the rotation, but it's not like we're hurting on DL. I trust Rex (can't believe I'm saying that) to know what to do with them
26CornerBlitz Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Quiet? Been a subject of discussion for weeks.
ganesh Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Don't expect to see Lawson play much. He has never taken a NFL snap. He will probably spot sub Alexander for a while Also being healthy is different than being in game shape. Lawson is quite a ways away from being a regular contributor

He can teach Shaq a lot by sharing the same position.

Lawson is quite a ways away from being a regular contributorGlad we got this cleared up early. I though we would have to see him on the field first. The Bills have the luxury to play him 15-20 plays a game and just let him go after the QB. He could be a very important addition in that role.
TC in St. Louis Posted October 17, 2016 Author Posted October 17, 2016 Quiet? Been a subject of discussion for weeks. I guess I was wondering why it hadn't been brought up today. Today he officially returns to the team.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 (edited) Kolby Listenbee is back today too, isn't he? Edited October 17, 2016 by PromoTheRobot

BuffaloHokie13 Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Kolby Listenbee is back today too, isn't he? Nope. He is eligible to be cleared as early as today, but I don't think he's healthy enough to be cleared. (Easley as well)
Big C Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 But doesn't that mean we can't bring Sammy back?
Blokestradamus Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Just going to put this up again - http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2016/8/2/12346452/understanding-nfl-roster-designations-injured-reserve-pup-nfi
PromoTheRobot Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 But doesn't that mean we can't bring Sammy back? No. Lawson was on the pre-season PUP list. Sammy is on IR. We can bring back one player off IR.

Prickly Pete Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 It looks like they overdid the defense in the draft. Not that they knew it at the time. Considering the glut of D-line talent they now have, it might have been better if they had selected an O-lineman, or wide receiver instead of an injured D-lineman.
