Over 29 years of fanhood Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I heard a reference to the hit he took after a punt vs LAR (that was flagged for 15) causing a quad problem
26CornerBlitz Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Not kicking this Sunday, what happened? Â I think he's a little beat up from the roughing the punter penalty against the Rams. I think he'll be okay by Sunday.
K D Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Not kicking in practice is different than not kicking Sunday. Where did you hear this OP?
nucci Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Not kicking this Sunday, what happened? I haven't read anywhere that the Bills have signed a punter for Sunday
mikef272002 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 (edited) Rex said it in his press conference. I read the transcript this morning, said some guy was signed to the practice squad since Schmidt can't kick this weekend, said it was a quad injury from "Taking one for the team" in the Rams game.. I think they signed a K to practice squad....not a punter
C.Biscuit97 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I wonder if we sign a P for coffin kicks and one for long punts
The Jokeman Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Can people start posting links to this stuff. As I can't believe Rex is dumb enough to confuse a kicker for a punter but crazier things have happened.
Saxum Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Sometimes I think the NFL should have rule where if you injure a player the player injured needs to spend time out in a type of penalty box when it is determined that at fault player could avoid injuring injuree. But that would require cooperation with NFLPA who have resisted most attempts at player safety (such as opposing requiring some pads) and for them not to be actively defending players who have deliberately injured other players.

If they needed one for the game, they would have signed a punter.
White Linen Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 He's really under performed this year. I thought last year he looked like he could really boom punts - this year he looks terrible.

GunnerBill Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 looked great last week IMO Yep me too. I thought there was one game (think it was 'zona) where he struggled but otherwise he has been good.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I thought he had some really nice punts in the Rams game He hasn't been as consistent as last year.
