John from Riverside Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Calling him a CB is silly. He's not. He is a nickel/dime package player. And km fine with that. To compare his numbers to outside CB's is insane. I don't think they could do as well as NRC. Maybe only Sherman and Norman since they're used to a small zone open field coverage. The rest of them are man up corners and Robey would not fair so well in man press and deep man He is a slot guy.....which is perfectly fine. I am just glad he has managed to get it turned around.
Big C Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Yeah, he was an incredible play maker under Pettine, but has never played as well as he did in his rookie season. I think he's finally returning to the player that we saw during that year. Pettine's scheme was quite similar to Rex. Makes sense that he would thrive in both. I was definitely expecting more from Robey last season, but whatever issues he had (along with the rest of the D) seems to have been improved. Glad to see him back to ballin'
