Remember when Daraus said he didn't feel wanted when he wanted big bucks? I think he might be laughing at us now. He should give every dime back for every game missed to the flood victims for not being in great shape apon his return after hurting the team for the first four weeks. Action speaks he says. Show us.

He did for the suspension anyway.

We played the Niners in 2012 in San Francisco. It was a blowout and really hard to watch. But the last time the Niners were in Buffalo was 2008 under Singletary (he took over midseason). We lost 10-3. Also a bad game.

Ah that's right. For some reason I didn't see the "came to town" part, and thought he was talking about the blowout. Singletary for the 49ers was 2008-2010? Where the heck does time go?!

coooooool, last time we wore this it was against the packers.....and we won.

Nah, they wore it a couple of times last year -- I think they lost vs. Cinci and won in the finale vs. the Jets.

The Bills returned my call and confirmed that they WILL NOT PLAY SSB on third down. This is the kind of scurrilous crap that makes social media suck. The Bills will be playing the sounds and music as if it were any other game.

Why can Americans not use "one quarter"? You just called it Quarters coverage, for crying out loud!

One-fourth? My god, this is why people hate you.

I'm sorry, I couldn't understand the foreign language you're speaking!

Both our 49ers and Bills reporters see Buffalo having its way on the ground vs. the NFL's second-worst run defense. FPI likes the Bills in a big way, too. Week 6 predictions (Insider)

49ERS AT BILLS

San Francisco 49ers

This is a daunting matchup for a team riding a four-game losing streak. The 49ers have to travel across the country to play a Bills team that has run the ball better (5.88 yards per carry) than any other since changing offensive coordinators three weeks ago. San Francisco, meanwhile, has the second-worst run defense in the league and lost linebacker NaVorro Bowman to a season-ending Achilles injury two weeks ago against Dallas. The only thing the Niners seem to have going for them is a little extra rest after playing on Thursday Night Football, but that won't be enough to land their second road win in their past 13 tries. Buffalo 31, San Francisco 17. -- Nick Wagoner

Buffalo Bills

Rex Ryan doesn't want his team overlooking this game because he doesn't feel that his team is "good enough." He's right, but the Bills should improve to 4-2 as long as their running game continues to power a Sammy Watkins-less offense. LeSean McCoy has averaged 6.1 yards per carry over the Bills' three-game winning streak, and as Nick Wagoner mentioned, the 49ers have the NFL's second-worst run defense. Bills 31, 49ers 14. -- Mike Rodak

@MikeSilver

Bills players tell me that after their 0-2 start, Rex Ryan (and brother Rob) stepped back and let DC Dennis Thurman handle play calls...

The result has been a simpler defensive scheme... less deception/fancy stuff, better overall performance

Bills players say new OC Anthony Lynn and newly empowered DC Thurman have both simplified things: "Now we just line up and kick your ass."

Said one Bills player: "I think before we were chasing ghosts. Since DT has been calling it we're just lining up and playing."

Its working! More power to DT and AL. Rex just gotta be the face of the franchise and an over-sized cheerleader on Sundays and were good.

No more stressy Rex, hes just gonna chill on the sideline managing our time outs....

49ers at Bills (Opening line: Bills, -7 points)

Current line: Bills, (-9 points). Apparently Vegas thinks Blaine Gabbert gives the 49ers a better chance to win than Colin Kaepernick. These are troubling times, indeed. Then again, perhaps it doesn't matter who plays quarterback in San Francisco (this isn't the first time someone has said this): Since 2015, the 49ers are 1-5 straight-up in games that kick off at 1 p.m. ET. They're also just 2-6 ATS against AFC teams since 2014.

Is WR Hunter's role going to increase or not? Plus, Dareus likely not playing. 5 takeaways from #Bills HC Rex Ryan: http://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/joe-b-5-takeaways-from-bills-hc-rex-ryan-101416

The Buffalo Bills are only a pair of days away from their next contest, and after being on the road for two weeks, they’ll get to do it at home from New Era Field. The Bills are up against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, and will hope to extend the winning streak to four games.

In the week leading up, the Bills had a few separate roster notes from practice and head coach Rex Ryan meeting with the media. Five takeaways from the week:

1) Likely no Dareus for the sixth straight weekend

2) Zach Brown appears fine to play, but what’s the contingency plan?

3) Mixed messages on Justin Hunter

4) Kouandjio on the mend; a move coming?

5) Shaq on pace to return, but not the WRs

By 49ers Staff - 49ers.com

Our staff writers break down San Francisco's next matchup, a Week 6 road game against Tyrod Taylor, LeSean McCoy and the Buffalo Bills.

Coffee With the Coach Presented by Tim Hortons (4:42)

Chris Brown talks to HC Rex Ryan about sustaining fast starts on offense, changing personal grouping on defense, Colin Kaepernick playing, and answers a question about who he thinks is going to make the playoffs first, the Sabres or the Bills.

I gotta worry that Kap is gonna be laser focused at The Cap. If they were playing any other team, I would wish him well...

But for this week, I wish him to play terribly.

GO BILLS!

There are NO trap games, that has been statistically proven beyond a doubt by Football Outsiders analyzing over 10 years worth of data. There are times bad teams beat good teams. It happens. However, bad teams beat good teams the same percentage of time when its a "trap" game or not a trap game. In fact when they analyzed the data, good teams beat bad teams slightly MORE often when they were considered "trap" games.

This is a myth that just won't die. When a bad team beats a good team, that's all it is. It has nothing to do with any "trap" situation

Is it a myth like momentum?
