I'm guilty as charged on this one as well...thought Crossman was a crony hire and should be shown the door. The Bills' ST play like a professional unit, and it's clear that they have put a great deal of emphasis on giving Crossman players as well.

I eat crow on Crossman! Hope the STs keep it up!

Will Colin Kaepernick crush the #Bills hopes of winning 4 in a row? 5 things to watch in Bills-49ers, w/ prediction: http://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/joe-b-5-things-to-watch-in-bills-49ers-101516

The Buffalo Bills will set out to do something they haven’t done since 2008: win four games in a row during the regular season. Going up against the team that they are in Week Six, the 3-2 Bills have a clear opportunity to accomplish that feat.

This time around, they’ll be going up against the 1-4 San Francisco 49ers, a team that has lost four straight games, and made a quarterback switch this week. Can the Bills prevent the letdown game from tarnishing a terrific three-game stretch?

Five things to watch for in Bills-49ers:

1) Will Kaepernick change the complexion of the game?

2) McCoy, offensive line should dominate

3) WR Jeremy Kerley vs. CB Nickell Robey-Coleman

4) Hyde defying the odds

5) Another week, another one Hughes can dominate

Prediction: Bills over 49ers

John Brodie was the QB for the 49ers in 1972 when the Bills beat a pre-merger NFL team for the first time. I was at that game, played in War Memorial Stadium.

Cool, i was there too!

That's pretty cool. My grandfather would tell stories of the old days. He was around when the team got started. He lived his whole life in EA, except for WWII. He'd go over and watch practices and got to meet a lot of the early players.

My earliest Bills memory is Don Beebe landing on his head. From then on, I watched every game.

Reading the 49ers forums, their fans believe they will lose if Gabbert starts, but that if Kap starts then they will blow us out.

They also chide Bills fans for thinking that Gabbert and Kap are on the same level as QBs. They feel that Kap is a far superior QB.

If Kap is so awesome, why has he been riding the pine all year? Unless I missed something, they benched him for a reason.

"The Fro" has been known to have big games from time to time where he pulls one out of his ass. That is the hope that 49er fans are hoping for today. And they know it could happen against the Bills.

I really doubt there are many San Fran fans who think "The Fro" is going to take them to a Superbowl.

The Bills should run the ball well today. As long as they do that and don't turn the ball over, then the Bills should win. I've got a bad feeling about turnovers today for some reason.

BN Blitz: Our guide to #Bills-#49ers, plus five things I'll be watching for: https://t.co/W1maHeLwNB

Here are five things to watch for against the 49ers:

1. Will it be Robert Woods or Charles Clay leading the way for the passing game?

2. How healthy is Zach Brown?

3. Can Lorenzo Alexander and the pass rush keep it up?

4. Where is Seantrel Henderson on the depth chart?

5. Can the Bills count on Dan Carpenter?

Thinking Buffalo scores on defense for the second straight week and the fourth time this season. Blaine Gabbert has been benched by San Francisco. I don't anticipate Colin Kaepernick falling on his face in this game, but going on the road versus a hot Bills defense is a stiff challenge, to say the least. Over the last three games, Buffalo defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman's unit has allowed zero passing touchdowns, picked off six passes and gotten to the quarterback 12 times. Yikes. Expect the 49ers to use the ground game extensively. The beauty in this approach, with Kaepernick in a read-option-style formation, is that the defense must honor Kap as a runner even more than it would have had to Gabbert. That forces the defense to play 11 on 11 as opposed to 11 on 10. #SFvsBUF

Is it a myth like momentum?

I don't care if you call it a "trap" game or not. I expect the Bills to faceplant against the 49ers today.

BBFS!

@viccarucci

Just got passed on Big Tree Road by Rex Ryan in his #Bills pickup w police escort.

McCoy should be able to do what he does

In the last three wins the Bills have averaged a little over 178 yards per game rushing. They’ll no doubt aim to do that again today against San Francisco, a team that ranks 31st in run defense and surrenders more than 145 yards on the ground per game. LeSean McCoy should have a day if recent history for the 49ers is any indication.

I want to see the play action game hit the 49ers after the Bills establish the run game.

Another game without the big guy.

You have to wonder if this is going to become a lingering "thing" with Mr. Pufnstuff.

It'd be nice if he'd start playing football at some point this year.

Watching Buffalo Blitz and catching an interview with Mr Big Puff. "...caught a flat tire outta nowhere, so, um, it happens, um, big guys normally don't pull their hamstrings, but, when you got a lotta power like me, you know, $hit happens." Yuks ensued. Keep laughing, fat boy. Laughing all the way to the bank now. Another $1M down the drain. Tub. Of. Goo.
