White Linen Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 There are still plenty of us who were around during the civil rights movement who understand that despite all the progress our society has made, it takes generations to make such sweeping changes, no matter how critical those changes may be. Racism isn't becoming more prevalent, it's being politicized, and people in power are baiting the citizenry, pitting people against each other. The people we risk losing our freedoms to are not external, they're the ones we voted into office. It definitely isn't more prevalent - it's been greatly reduced as it becomes more and more unacceptable. The issue is the one's protesting are acting like it's worse now than ever - so when that propaganda is being forced into the conversation it removes hope that resolutions can be achieved. If you think external things won't effect the America way of life 10 fold to race related issues - you just aren't respecting what's happening to the level it deserves.

Could you be more specific regarding these "external things"?
Boatdrinks Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 And you are essentially saying that since the owner was in the business of fracking fans of the team should also support fracking??? What if he owned abortion clinics? It may be a reason to support it in a roundabout kind of way. I'd have no problem if he owned abortion clinics, but the owner being in the business wouldn't be a big reason why.
/dev/null Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 You have to admit fracking electing Democrats can really f##k a place. Ask folks in Oklahoma with their daily earthquakes Chiraq, Detroit, Baltimore, or New Orleans
GG Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Getting back to the original topic, which is another case of lazy journalism. Why are players upset at Ryan's support of the skin thinned narcissist, yet there isn't a peep about them rebelling against Brady's love affair with trump? After all, they're realistically not putting their bodies on the line to protect Rex as much as they do for Tommy Boy. Or maybe at the end of the day, the players don't care?
