His best season to date is 2.5 sacks, and hes on pace for 16. Not saying he goes there, but it's one heck of a start!

Was my favourite play of the day. Set the tone for what proved to be an a$$kicking.

Throwing two opposing players into the return guy.

Ridiculous.

That was the play I was trying to remember in a different thread. It was like picking up a three pin spare in bowling.

to release Manny Lawson...hard to imagine Lawson having a bigger impact than Alexander who has been very good rushing the passer and also active stopping the run as well...

What a pleasant surprise from a guy expecting to be a role player and key Special Teamer.

Alexander leading the team in sacks and seems to be getting constant pressure off the edge and even up the middle at times...

Another key LB pickup by Whaley along with Zach Brown

and has contributed mightily on special teams

Should the Bills be playing their 33-year old starting OLB on ST's? I'm not sure if that's really smart.

 That's what they brought him here to do. It's great he's contributing on Defense as well!

I realize they brought him in to play ST's, but he's been a monster on defense. No need to play ST's anymore.

Crazy talk.

When he joined the Redskins in 2006, Alexander gained the nickname, "One Man Gang", due to the versatility of football positions he can play; offensive guard, tight end, linebacker, fullback, defensive tackle, defensive end, and special teams.[24][25]

Great ST units often have key defensive starters involved. I love to see top-notch talent and speed out there on coverage teams.

No, I get that as well. But the man is 33 years old.

Roughly the age of the Pyramids, if I have my history right. (And you are generous with the term "roughly".)

Yes. Fire Whaley!

Actually I was thinking lifetime contract extension at 20 mill a season to start with a 10 million dollar raise every other year to compensate for inflation.

The Bills made excellent and possibly lucky moves with Brown and Lorax. Hidden in the background you do have to wonder how much Rob Ryan's coaching has played into this situation.

He's obviously a beast on ST. Roll with it, I say.

We won and no one got hurt, i guess rex and whaleys jobs are safe for another week

yep, we'll probably lose to Rams (who may be as good as the no gronk, no brady team we played last week), and everyone will want their heads again. rinse, repeat

@PrescottRossi

Rex Ryan admits he didn't see this kind of role for Lorenzo Alexander and he's been blown away by his production so far.

I'm in DC and he was very good for Redskins as well. no sure how he fell off the radar
