Magox Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 So if we extend Z. Brown, I'm guessing we move Ragland to outside LB?
Kelly the Dog Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 A hardcore Titans fan told me Zach Brown sucks, he seems very knowledgeable about football but I am now seriously questioning his knowledge. Even advanced metrics and other analysis said how he was a good coverage linebacker who struggled against the run. Seemed like he was a good depth signing at worst but now he has taken over the starting job and is crushing it. There are all kinds of players who do not succeed in one system and are very good in a different system that plays to his strengths. Rex's system is very LB friendly, especially for a guy with good speed and instincts. The Jets LBs all racked up a ton of tackles if they were good.
Doc Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 That play on Edelman. If this season ends up being anywhere but the trash can that's going to be a highly talked about effort. I loved the play but Brown was well behind Edelman until Edelman got tired. I give props to ZB more for his conditioning and desire than his speed, which is fine by me. John from Riverside Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 So if we extend Z. Brown, I'm guessing we move Ragland to outside LB? What it means is we wont be drafting ILB's in the next draft....cuz our depth is ridiculous Can you imagine if Shaq Lawson comes back and he is a stud to? omg omg omg

YoloinOhio Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 @tobymotika #Bills linebacker Zach Brown is on pace for 208 tackles. At 1.25 million, that's one of the best bargains in the league up to this point

It was the effort and attitude that stood out to me. Zach didn't make the trip to go through the motions and pad BB's career stats.

Coach Tuesday Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 He's similar to Kiko in terms of playing style. But he's better.
Solomon Grundy Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I'd have to say either of the Brown boyz with Shady being a close second
offyourocker Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I was one click away to start him in fantasy. Regrets
Kelly the Dog Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Brown had a tremendous game, obviously, and had 18 tackles. Those tackles were the good kind, close to the line of scrimmage for the most part. Pats CB, Logan Ryan, on the other hand, had 17 tackles, which may seem good until you see that he gave up 11 receptions on 12 targets.

aristocrat Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 him blowing up brisett midfield is one of the highlights of the year. that was game changing
12Kachy Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Jerry is great and has been on fire but he helped the opposition the first two weeks with dumb penalties. As long as he keeps up the clean play, he and Z. Brown will be fighting for that team MVP spot.
Dragonborn10 Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Agree with all the above suggestions but how about some love for the LT position. Whether it is Glenn or CK they have played very well!
Augie Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Zach is a one year deal, right? How much more do we invest? Ragland is.......????? Hmmm
Kelly the Dog Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Zach is a one year deal, right? How much more do we invest? Ragland is.......????? HmmmThere are several ways to look at this. A lot of teams look at it by position. Preston Brown as a third rounder makes peanuts. Lorax makes peanuts. Zach Brown makes very little. Hughes, also a LB makes a ton. Shaq, also an LB makes a bunch and a half as a first rounder but not in the top. We are set pretty well overall. The good part is that teams will know, to some degree, that Zach is the perfect fit for Rex's defense and they really wouldn't expect the same production in theirs.
