somnus00 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 How many linebackers, in the entire league, are fast enough to cacth Julian Edelman from behind?
Mikie2times Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 (edited) I hope so. But it will be costly. IF Shaq and Ragland get healthy and pan out, can you imagine that LB core? Dear god.. Edited October 2, 2016 by KzooMike
atlbillsfan1975 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 This guy played out of his mind today and good all season, great pick up Whaley He ran down a WR after 70+ yards today, I believe it was Edelman. Brown is fast and in great shape.
Mikie2times Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 (edited) How many linebackers, in the entire league, are fast enough to cacth Julian Edelman from behind? He's so perfect for this system. Rex's defense is designed for ILB's to run sideline to sideline and not get disrupted by OL. He is the fastest MLB in the NFL, he ran a 4.45 at the combine and broke North Carolina's record for the 60 meter dash in college. At over 240 pounds he ran track for UNC. Crazy athlete. Jkgobills Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 How many linebackers, in the entire league, are fast enough to cacth Julian Edelman from behind? That was crazy to see someone that big chase down Edelman. I had no idea about that! Thanks for the info.
Griff28 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Need to extend this guy asap. He' been a beast.
thurst44 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 He is. It's should be a topic. He's unbelievable. Today's MVP along with the coaching staff. Was just about to create my first topic ever with something like this. This is where Whaley earns his pay ... picking up players -- high picks who have underachieved -- on the cheap. They have both been excellent. Also, while he's not the best on the team, let's not forget The Lorax ... a friggin' 33-year-old journeyman known for special teams and he beat out Manny Lawson for the starter spot and has 4 sacks (along with tremendous special teams play). I half-jokingly predicted he would get 10 sacks after his pre-season, and he may just do that.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Don't give me this crap! Fire Doug Whaley!Everyone knows Whaley had nothing to do with signing ZB. He just wandered into OBD one day.

John from Riverside Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 A couple of things - It is important to note we are doing this WITHOUT Marcel D. - To me its like Z. Brown the light came on and he realizes he is actually a HUGE MLB and is playing like it....not just a coverage LB
GunnerBill Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 He has got better every week. He was a monster today. The D really looks like coming round.
NewEra Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 I bought a Hughes jersey this week. He's been our best player. He's never had a game like Zach had today. He was everywhere and is the reason we shut out the pats in Gillette for the 1st time ever. He was on another level today. Probably the best game played by any defender this season
Chilly Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 I was stoked for the signing and even more now. Great job by Whaley finding someone like him that got benched last year. Just needed the right fit.
Blokestradamus Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Hats off to Doug but also, Rob Hanrahan and his Pro personnel department.
Augie Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Don't give me this crap! Fire Doug Whaley! I love the way you were ahead of the curve there! We'll get to that in a few pages. Zach was a monster today!!!!!

mabden Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Z. Brown played a great game today. P. Brown found his soulmate in Z. Brown. The two of them play off each other so well, it is great to see.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 I waa devestated when Ragland went down, but Brown has taken care of business.
