4merper4mer
I'll be rooting for the Bills tomorrow as always and normally a win at NE would mean a lot and keep me happy. This year it'll be different because.....and I can barely type this.....35 years to the day before this game happened, I lost my Uncle Geno who I will remember fondly forever. The event that killed Geno was tragic, but it also taught me to not take things for granted. I was minding my own business and having a great time right there in mid-town when an ambulance went screaming by right past me on Main...on its way to the hospital. I din't even really think about it but Geno was in there. I still feel guilty even though I couldn't have done anything. My thoughts would have been with hi if I knew. Don't take your loved ones for granted. Gene died on October 2, 1981.
mead107
Some day when you meet him in the big sky he will tell you that there was nothing you could do. He will tell you that you needed to put your positive thoughts into the Bills because the BIG picture is getting that SB win before we meet in the big sky. Geno didn't really care about the Bills or football though. My other Uncle who they called Skinner did though but that was mostly because he was a gambler and would bet on or against the Bills and any other team. I remember sometimes he'd show me the rolls of 50s and 100s he kept in the glove box of his Impala.
