26CornerBlitz Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 @RapSheet Sources: #Texans star DL JJ Watt has re-injured his back and is expected to be out for an extended period of time. Could be the season.
Augie Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 That sucks. Hate to see that for anyone, even a Patriot. Backs are tricky....
YoloinOhio Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Yikes! He probably shouldn't have played so soon, I'm guessing. Should have done the 6 week PUP deal.

YoloinOhio Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 (edited) Teams with high hopes do desperate things. Teams with no hope.....do desperate things. back injuries are so tricky. Just for the average person let alone someone who has 300 lb Olinemen leaning on him constantly. Hindsight is 20/20 but they have a decent team around him. I would have put him on the shelf until later in the season. But I get why they felt like they "needed" him. I mean I want Sammy out there and I know he should probably sit. Players want to play. But some injuries are trickier than others, and backs are high on the tricky list. Feet are tough too.
Bills!Win! Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Their season was over when they signed brock osweiler
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Their season was over when they signed brock osweiler Boom!!! And I was getting so sick of Watt and think he is a dirty player who never gets called out for it (see his constant knee shots at EJ) but it sucks to see a great player injured. About time for Clowney to prove his whole draft selection wasn't based on one play.
YoloinOhio Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 @injuryexpert My worry with Watt all along was he was pushing to get back ahead of the medical reality. That's just who he is and this was the downside
Augie Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Steroids Heard of them.... Tiger, anyone? Ha she been to a certain Canadian Doctor? Or some guy at a juice bar in town?
YoloinOhio Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 @tompelissero #Texans are signing Antonio Smith, as @AdamSchefter said. Can't replace Watt, but Smith has been productive, durable in 12 NFL seasons.
3rdand12 Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 shame. really great player. hope nothing he cannot fully recover from. My back is in poor condition and limits my life exp. Because i did not treat it right away nor fully. I thought i was a tough guy
#34fan Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Beginning to sound more, and more like a nagging, career-ender... I like JJ... He brings alot to the game.... I hope my instincts are dead wrong in this instance.
Maury Ballstein Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Flipped one too many truck tires out working everyone. Good luck to him on his recovery, he is a beast.

I hope my instincts are dead wrong in this instance. He looked to be on his way to breaking Bruce Smith's sack record. Which makes that record all the more impressive.
Coach Tuesday Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 He may be thinking about retirement.
Maury Ballstein Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 He prob saw what Kuondijo is doing and is just running scared.
