KD in CA Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Greatest ever at what he does. I wish he could wake up tomorrow 30 years younger because he'd just keep going. And till the day I die, his immortal words will ring in my ears: "Little roller up along first....."

major Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Did he thank the city of Brooklyn yesterday or the past few days, or just LA? He is one of their last links to that golden era of baseball. FYI- the Dodgers should move back to Brooklyn
gr8billsfan Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 He will be missed here in LA. Every Dodger fan, even those who aren't, love Vin. He's the man!
CowgirlsFan Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Sad but beats dying and not getting to retire.

BADOLBILZ Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Heard on TV that his first year calling games for the Dodgers was the last year Connie Mack was managing Philadelphia. Connie Mack was born in 1862.
Freddie's Dead Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Vin Scully is the best baseball broadcaster ever. Whoever follows him in the booth is gonna get roasted next year. Kinda like when Murph took over after Van retired.

dollars 2 donuts Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Heard on TV that his first year calling games for the Dodgers was the last year Connie Mack was managing Philadelphia. Connie Mack was born in 1862. I love tie-ins like that. Damn, BADOL, that is interesting...guy was alive to call games for someone who was born before Gettysburg. I read last year that the last widower of a civil war veteran died during the Obama administration. She married a civil war vet in, I believe the 20s, when she was a teenager. Yeah. You never want to be the guy that follows the legend. You want to be the guy who follows the guy who followed the legend. Dear Jimmy, I couldn't agree with you more. Sincerely, Steve Young jk
jimmy10 Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Dear Jimmy, I couldn't agree with you more. Sincerely, Steve Young jk Fair play. There's always exceptions.
