Wiz Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Haven't seen the game yet. Did we play our safeties this week? Yes, they actually helped the corners and it made all the difference in the world!!! It only took Rex four whole quarters of getting smoked by Fitzy to figure that out. I guess they had to look at the film. I'm happy with today's game, but their defense is either sink or swim because their coaches are incapable of making any in game adjustments that are obvious to EVERYBODY watching.
Big Turk Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Yea not buying the it's Rex's fault Gilmore and Darby were bent over by the jets wideouts angle. "Shutdown" corner make a play. They were in position almost all game long they just never did anything...against the Cards all they did was make plays with the ball in the air...
26CornerBlitz Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Remember when Rex ruined Preston Brown because he was mean to him.
YoloinOhio Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Fitz playing like **** vs KC. Last week was his Superbowl.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Yea I'm happy they played well, but just a week ago the laid a huge stinker just like last year in some games.... I hope we can stay consistent defensively, but I don't expect it. You have made it clear that you don't expect anything good.
Coach Tuesday Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Seems to me the defense actually put the work in the film room this past week. Seemed to know the AZ route trees very well.
Maury Ballstein Posted September 25, 2016 Author Posted September 25, 2016 Sweet, if we see them win every third game life should be good... #genuisrex Hate on buddy. His fault Roman and TT couldn't score 13 points. #blowhard #bufoon # nepotism Your bitterness tastes sweet.
Rockinon Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 (edited) Love the hussle of Jerry Hughes but he seems to get that WTF penalty every damn game. Overall great performance by this D, though. Offense seems to be getting into a groove. Let's hope it continues. Edited September 25, 2016 by Rockinon

MDH Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Love the hussle of Jerry Hughes but he seems to get that WTF penalty every damn game. As much as I love his tenacity and overall game I'm getting tired of these dumb penalties every game. The one today could have been game turning and there was no need for it. Palmer was already on his way down to the ground.
CSBill Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 So the defense has been cash money in 2 out of 3 games. Guess it's not antiquated as everyone's favorite broken record says. Go Rex go. When they dial up the pressure, they are good . . . which makes the loss to the Jets so baffling. Why Rex? Sometimes he just outthinks himself. Oh well, let's enjoy this one. If they can duplicate it next week there will be real reasons for rejoicing. Did I say that? I thought I said I don't expect consistency. Hughes has been very good so far... When he's not being !@#$ing retarded. Please don't use that word. Thank You.
BADOLBILZ Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 They played almost every second and third down with just ONE defensive lineman. That's not his system........that was a drastic adjustment to the spread that torched his D last week.
PromoTheRobot Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 So the defense has been cash money in 2 out of 3 games. Guess it's not antiquated as everyone's favorite broken record says. Go Rex go. And the one bad game was mostly Gilmore and Darby getting lit up.

But it worked and surely confused Palmer early.
dawolv Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Old man Williams was unstoppable today. Adolph is also played well- making plays. Can't wait for Dareus to be back to really improve the boys upfront. Brown bros played well, where is Brandon Spikes?
Cynical Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Without our 100 million dollar player This. and 1st pick and 2nd pick Not this. Can't miss a player when they haven't even played yet. Even when Shaq does come back, he will still be a rookie. A rookie making rookie mistakes, and prone to issues adjusting to playing in the NFL.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 This. Not this. Can't miss a player when they haven't even played yet. Even when Shaq does come back, he will still be a rookie. A rookie making rookie mistakes, and prone to issues adjusting to playing in the NFL. Like Darby did last year?
Cynical Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Like Darby did last year? Like Dareus did in 2011?
Kelly the Dog Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Like Dareus did in 2011? I'm just saying that it's not a given, as you seemed to postulate. And it happened the opposite way just last year. I'm not at all saying to expect it. Usually, you are right, that it takes some time.
