With no Sammy and Clay at half speed it's no wonder. I'm not sure they would have felt that way with a full team.

Good points. Tyrod is still throwing too high or sometimes too low to open targets. The missed completion to Clay late in the game drove me nuts.

Also, by midway through the first period, with the defense playing well, and Tyrod and Shady getting significant runs, that changes your mindset.

^ Well said.

We all know that Belicheat will be pulling out all the stops to shut down Shady next Sunday. Tyrod needs to throw the ball better than he did today and the defense needs to play just as good as it did today. If they can do that and avoid the dumb penalties and turnovers when it hurts the most, they at least stand a chance.

Agree. BB is going to force Tyrod to win with his arm.... And I'm not confident in his ability to do this yet. New England's defense is strong, and they gameplan very well. Sounds crazy coming after a nice win today, but we are going to have to play much better to win next Sunday.

Who's playing QB?

Sad

Don't get me wrong, loved the win and I'll take it. Just as far as going forward goes, it's a problem and a sign that the Bills aren't there yet. I'm totally realistic and didn't think that they were. TTs performance is going to be analyzed all year as the Bills have a big $ decision to make after this year. So far it still looks like he's not a franchise QB and I wouldn't pick up the option. I'll take very win this team can pull out .

The worst thing to me about the Bills performance in this game is their inability ( or lack of focus) to close the game out. Seemed like AZ got more chances at the end of the game than they should have , courtesy of the Bills O. I know they lacked WRs today and perhaps that had a lot to do with it. You just can't give a team with weapons that many chances and think it won't bite you in the arse.

You're getting a lot of grief for saying this, but it is absolutely a fair critique.

The great teams get a lead and close out. We're not in that league yet. Even with a big lead, we give him a safety, a long KO return, and need two Endzone picks to hang on.

I do think part of that is not having an elite QB. And part of it is inconsistent execution and coaching.

I am thrilled with the win, but it's an area where we can improve.

And yet who was thinking we were an elite team?

Confidence breeds confidence. A team needs a lot of wins until they start to become an elite or great team and consistently put teams away. And even great teams like the Pats often fail to put teams away. You're right that we didn't do that but who really expected that?

I agree. I wasn't expecting it. I was expecting/fearing some nail biter, where we barely hang on.

All of this "learning how to win" talk is legit. If they get used to this and get more experience, they almost have to get better at it.

Didnt we win by almost 2 touchdowns?

I thought we def should have gotten a touchback before that safety...never should have came to that.

Tyrod Taylor is not a top 5 QB....those guys are REALLY hard to find

That was a really good team we beat today

I still think we are dealing with the whole "starters didnt play much in pre season" thing.....and combining with missing several starters

The officials made the correct call on spotting the ball on the Graham INT.

Fair enough...he was untouched so I thought it was an iffy call

Refs didnt really have a effect on the outcome today.....still waiting for them to give us benefit of the doubt when Goodwin runs them deep tough on pass interference penalties

He established himself in the field of play before his momentum took him into the end zone. Therefore it's no touchback and the ball is spotted at the 1.
