Dave in Avon Lake now Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 After last night and the way the season is inevitably headed, I think it is time for a change. Let's switch with Baltimore and let Miami go with the Southern division. We would then have Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cincinnati twice a year and be rid of the Patriots!
Cugalabanza Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 The Bills make me wanna... ...LOWER MY EXPECTATIONS!!! (WHOOOO!!!)
Chuck Wagon Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Based on geography, Baltimore should be in the AFC East, Miami should be in the AFC South, Indianapolis should be in the AFC North.
The Poojer Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 so where do NJ and NE go? they belong in your proposed division more than baltimore
Cugalabanza Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 (edited) Wouldn't it be great hearing the **** from Pats fans for the rest of our lives because the Bills had to escape to a different division because it's too unfair having to play the Pats twice a year. Here's a better idea: The divisions stay as they are, but we petition the league for the Bills to get a "Participant" trophy just for showing up and giving a gosh darn nice effort out there. Of course, they're not gonna beat the mean ol' Patriots, but guess what: the Bills are actually in the NFL and they have their own stadium and helmets and everything. Let's hear it for the Bills! Yay. Edited September 23, 2016 by Cugalabanza

BuffaloHokie13 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 AFC North: AFC East: AFC South: AFC West: Patriots Jets Titans Raiders Colts Ravens Dolphins Chiefs Bengals Steelers Texans Broncos Browns Bills Jaguars Chargers NFC North: NFC East: NFC South: NFC West: Lions Redskins Buccaneers Seahawks Packers Eagles Saints Rams Vikings Giants Falcons Cardinals Bears Panthers Cowboys 49ers
Kirby Jackson Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I think that we should realign as well. The Bills should be in a division with the Browns, 49ers and the Bears
BuffaloHokie13 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 fixed I just went with geography mostly, and somewhat with rivalries. The northeast is easily the most up for interpretation.
CountryCletus Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 So rather than play NE twice a year, you want to play Baltimore, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh twice a year?? Good logic... We've endured 15+ years of Brady, and just about the time hes out the door, you want to deal with Flacco, Dalton, and Ben
Seasons1992 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I think that we should realign as well. The Bills should be in a division with the Browns, 49ers and the Bears If the NFL had relegation like the Premier League, these are the exact teams that would be sent "down" in 2017. Jacksonville and LA will scrape by.
Kirby Jackson Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 If the NFL had relegation like the Premier League, these are the exact teams that would be sent "down" in 2017. Jacksonville and LA will scrape by. The bottom of the table. They should relegate teams to the Lingerie Football League.
Mike in Horseheads Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Wow... this subject has never come up before.
Marty McFly Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 AFC North: AFC East: AFC South: AFC West: Patriots Jets Titans Raiders Colts Ravens Dolphins Chiefs Bengals Steelers Texans Broncos Browns Bills Jaguars Chargers NFC North: NFC East: NFC South: NFC West: Lions Redskins Buccaneers Seahawks Packers Eagles Saints Rams Vikings Giants Falcons Cardinals Bears Panthers Cowboys 49ers That would be awesome. Wed actually have a shot at the title
vorpma Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 If you realign - go big! Great Lakes Division: Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Green Bay - modern version of the old black and blue division. Northern, cold, and lots of snow - traditional football!

We would then have Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cincinnati twice a year and be rid of the Patriots! how boring would it be to play Browns and Bengals twice a year
DCBongo Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Just flip Baltimore and Buffalo. Think Baseball, Red Sox (Boston), Yankees (New York), Orioles (Baltimore) - all AL East. Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Cleveland are all under 300 miles from each other and it could create amazing regional rivalries. Sure, it upends tradition; but it would be interesting.

Have to at least win once in a while to have a rivalry....Bills-Browns.......sounds exciting
May Day 10 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Im kind of bored with the current alignment. A large part is probably being stuck with a juggernaut, but 15 years is an eternity for one format in the major sports. I would like it if they went with 4 conferences Lambeau Shula Buffalo Houston Cleveland Miami Pittsburgh Jacksonville Detroit Tampa Bay Cincinnati Carolina Chicago New Orleans Minnesota Atlanta Green Bay Tennessee Parcells Walsh New England Denver NY Giants Los Angeles Washington Seattle Philadelphia Kansas City Baltimore Oakland Dallas San Francisco Indianapolis San Diego NY Jets Arizona It is treated more like NCAA football. Play each Division team 1x. rotate home/away year to year. Pair up 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 for an extra Divisional game to make 8 Divisional games. It would also keep teams at the top of the Division duking it out once more each season. Then 4 from your other conference Division with typical home/away rotation, and 2/2 from each Division from the other conference with typical home/away rotation. Conference winners get byes. #2 and #3 in each division play in the wildcard round. Then play for the conference championships and re-seed for the final 4.
