bbb Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Not that it would ever have happened. But having Chan back as the OC would have been interesting. Yes, it would have.
Boatdrinks Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 My clear recollectionis that orton told marrone he was retiring before the season even ended. I recall seeing that KO informed them of his decision the morning of locker clean out day.
YoloinOhio Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 I recall seeing that KO informed them of his decision the morning of locker clean out day.yes. He was talking to reporters and said he would be right back. He lied, as he never came back. Retirement announced thereafter.
3rdand12 Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Who's "Marone"? He meant Marrooned The same methods employed the following years could have been used with him - bring in the best vet FA available, look for a 2nd tier FA who might have promise, draft. I think the big problem was that the OL as Marrone tried to coach it was broken and he had no idea how to fix it, since the players he required for the job (fast agile big lurching behemoths) may not exist outside his coaches' manual My main issue with him was the O line. I have others. I miss Chan terribly. Great OC in my mind Some of y'all are making this too complicated. Coach Moron followed Woody Allen and Steve Miller's advice, Take the Money and Run. well played !!
