NoSaint Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Beef- your right. I wanted to believe in Rex, but it's going to be an ugly season. Imagine if we kept Schwartz as the head coach and he hired a stud OC? Mario would have been gone though given his cost and the others we were trying to retain. Did you guys watch the AZ game last week? We're going to get slaughtered. I almost don't want to watch it. I don't think the Mario point is a given. You can't assume we'd have spent on shady or clay as examples of how things may be different and who knows where qb would be
3rdand12 Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Sorry 3rd...I wasnt really responding to you but to the post your responded to I like Wade Phillips a lot.....much better DC then HC if I had to choose betweend Wade and Rex....and this point I WOULD take Wade......but....I just dont know how far he could take us NP
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Not even our DBs that they had a good game. Yes but if they were given some help they wouldn't have looked so bad. There are very few shutdown corners in the league and Rex acted like we had both of em.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 His D is impressing vs. the Steelers' potent attack.
GunnerBill Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 He is legit. He is a top flight DC. I miss him.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 He has Philly defense playing excellent. No question.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 His D was impressive here. If Rex goes he should strongly be considered for HC. It would have been fine with me if he got the job when Marrone quit. We are where we are, so we'll see what happens. BTW, I like McDaniels more than Schwartz.

BTW, I like McDaniels more than Schwartz. Both McDaniels and Schwartz, to me, seem like the kind of guys who may not be great HCs, and their offense or defense suffers when they do not spend 100% of the time on their specialty.
bobobonators Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 I wanted Jim Schwartz as the HC of the Bills when he was here. Yeh, he wore out his welcome in Detroit...but he deserves another HC shot. He may end up being another Wade, where he just dominates as a coordinator, but he definitely deserves another shot at HC

They will both get a 2nd shot and hopefully for them will have many lessons learned to make them more successful.
VaMilBill Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 I'm curious, do you think Schwartz would take a job as the buffalo HC after being passed over for Rex? (Out of pride)
Virgil Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 McKelvin is out for this game too. It's crazy what they are doing to the Steelers
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Schwartz was the man here. THE MAN. I hope marrone burns in hell for quitting and costing us his defense.
Benjamin Franklin Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Eagles defense destroyed Steelers. They are only getting better each week. (Wentz looks amazing too. Curious to see what weeks 5-10 will look like when coordinators break down any weaknesses.)
John from Riverside Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 It is hard to ignore the results with the Eagles I thought our D played pretty well today to
QCity Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Wentz looked absolutely fantastic. #Wentzlyvania trending.
Nihilarian Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Schwartz was the man here. THE MAN. I hope marrone burns in hell for quitting and costing us his defense. Amen! 34 to 3 What that Philly defense did to the Steelers is just nucking futz. Big Ben 24 of 44 for 257, one INT! wow! D. Williams 8 attempts for 21 yards. This against a team that scored an average of 31 pts per the first two games. Meanwhile, Wentz threw for 300 yards and two TD's. 426 offensive yards for the Eagles vs 251 for the Steelers
Norwood for Wall of Fame Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 I thought that the Bills were employing some Schwartz techniques on Sunday, the way that tbey were lined up all spread out on the defensive front and rushing the passer from who knows where.
