Maury Ballstein Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Who cares about the record. I'm looking at his command of the offense, poise in the pocket, his ability to make correct reads, and make accurate throws. Agree. He sees everything, moves well, quick release, accurate crisp throws. Looks very solid.
The Frankish Reich Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Well, I don't want to be accused of overreacting, but ... Wentz does look damn good. It's very early but I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be a very good QB draft class. Prescott and Wentz are impressive in the early going, and we've still got Goff, Lynch, Cardale ... and the legend of Jacoby Brissett to come.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Agree. He sees everything, moves well, quick release, accurate crisp throws. Looks very solid. He's an excellent athlete in addition to those other NFL caliber skills.
MAJBobby Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Wentz is the real deal. I wanted him so bad last year then he goes and kills the draft workouts and makes himself the 2nd overall

Point is, there are plenty of young Qbs who have had the same things said about them. Also, the Bears are trash.

C.Biscuit97 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Not enough discussion about Doug Pederson's hair His visor game is second to none. He looks like an ex pro beach volleyball player.
Maury Ballstein Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Not enough discussion about Doug Pederson's hair As a member of the salt and pepper club I salute Doug.
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Film don't lie no matter how much you try to downplay this kid. You're right. 3 fgs against the Bears = future all pro. I would love to see every young qb thread with people saying very similar things as well.

Close your lying eyes!
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Get a bigger tv bud. This ain't no mike glennon/Ryan leaf/mettenberger. He can throw footballs father than uncle Rico could. Haha. Hey, I love good Qbs so I hope he is. I just hate the knee jerk reaction we have to every young qb. If he was throwing 7 ints this game, I'd feel the same way. Guess he should have ran out to catch the perfectly thrown pass that Matthews dropped in the end zone. Close your lying eyes! Someone has a crush!

The Frankish Reich Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 (edited) Question: because it's TSW and sooner or later any QB people have heard of will cause a post to be started ... would you take a flyer on Jay Cutler in 2017 if Tyrod doesn't perform as hoped this year? EDIT: I can't imagine Cutler will be back with the Bears. The only reason he's still there is the huge cap hit they'd have taken by moving on in 2016. That dissipates to about a million bucks after this season. Edited September 20, 2016 by The Frankish Reich
Fadingpain Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I would take a flyer on Cutler b/c I think it has never been "right" in Chicago for him and he is capable of more than we've seen. I bet most around here would say "Oh God no!" however.
CommonCents Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 No. I just believe what my eyes tell me. +1 the kid is playing the part, he does need to learn to protect himself out there though. What's the harm in saying the rookie looks pretty good out there?
