Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I don't think BB will let that happen. BB does have an interesting issue on his hands. Brady is closing in on the end. They trade us Tom then Sprained a.c. joint. It`s been 4 months since my grade 3 a.c. sprain. Bone still sticks up and hurts, good luck Jimmy. Oh I am 57 and lift weights. Lets see them work their magic. See Hogan lately ? You don't have a full medical team helping you get ready for a game. Also the way you injured it I'm sure is different too, so how it feels for you could be different for someone else.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 @Edwerderespn #Patriots think Jimmy Garappolo might play; they value every roster spot; they don't think any UFA QB can help them beat #Texans

What is wrong with their training staff? They know they only need him for 8 more quarters, if they ruin his career in the process what do they care? That's just the P*triot way.

That's just the P*triot way. i know Ben played with an AC sprain in the playoffs. But that was the playoffs, and the only other option was Landry Jones. Despite the fact that they don't think they will need him again this year, the fact it's a short week just seems ill advised. Even if he can play wouldn't his throws be compromised? Guess I just don't get it. They don't think JJ watt is going to grind that shoulder into the turf? Edited September 21, 2016 by YoloinOhio

Nah he isn't playing, it's all to make the Texans prep for him and Bisssett nothing more... I do see him returning for week 4 possibly.

PatsFanNH Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I don't know. They were willing to risk Ted Johnson's life, why not somebody else? I disagree there, but different positions and a hurt throwing arm doesn't help the team more than the rookie... And game 4 is more important.
YoloinOhio Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Seems like the Houston game is more important as things looks now. That outcome could determine playoff seed.
Samwell Tarly Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 The way things are going, the pats could bring Steve Grogan out of retirement and he'd hang 400 yards on this team.
Estelle Getty Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Do some research on their training staff and you can see why a guy who everyone assumes would be out 4-6 weeks might only be out 3 days. But hey they get away with it.

Ha Grogan. I guess is he still alive? Is that a photo of the Incan trail you got posted up there? Or gate 3 at the rockpile?

stevewin Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 If he plays at least they'll be able to invent and breathlessly track a new Bruschi-like 'hit' stat all game - 'arm raises'?
PatsFanNH Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Seems like the Houston game is more important as things looks now. That outcome could determine playoff seed. BB be looking more at 2 division wins give us a huge leg up in the division Do some research on their training staff and you can see why a guy who everyone assumes would be out 4-6 weeks might only be out 3 days. But hey they get away with it. 4-6 weeks was for a separation not a sprain. For a sprain usually 1-2 weeks (per multiple reports)

fergie's ire Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Sprained a.c. joint. It`s been 4 months since my grade 3 a.c. sprain. Bone still sticks up and hurts, good luck Jimmy. Oh I am 57 and lift weights. Lets see them work their magic. See Hogan lately ? I think that part of the confusion is the terminology. These used to be called separated shoulders....and there are varying degrees. Sometimes a first degree (and maybe even second degree) was called a sprain....because there was nothing torn. However, because people confused separated with dislocated, they seem to have started using the term "sprained" for all AC joint injuries. A grade three, like yours (and which I also had) means that a couple of ligaments are completely torn. A week out of such an injury, I doubt he would be able to lift his arm above his shoulder....making throwing the ball difficult. I do remember that someone, I think it was Brian Griese for the Broncos, finished a game with a grade 3 and was sling the ball side armed because he couldn't lift his arm....but probably not something you want your quarterback to try.
