Commish Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 No one has discussed this yet. Our "shut down" corners were a disaster. Do two good players simply have a bad game on the same day?
CountryCletus Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 It's been addressed, it was Romans fault and he was fired! Hahaha sorry... I had to...
Coach Tuesday Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Several issues. No pass rush. No safety help. Bad technique. Gilmore is saving his body for his next contract and doesn't really care. None of these guys are watching film enough to know what the offense is doing. It's a tire fire and looks just like the Saints' 2015 defense.
DasNootz Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 1 - Darby is the best CB on this roster. 2 - No CB is going to be "shutdown" without a pass rush. 3 - there was no safety support
YoloinOhio Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) Scheme failure with no safety help and a collection of backups on the DL creating no pressure. Fitz was throwing jump balls and his WRs were bigger and making the play 1:1. Edited September 17, 2016 by YoloinOhio
Virgil Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 One game happened. They have more than earned the benefit of the doubt. And they are humans who can get frustrated too. When you are on the field the whole game and your safeties are coloring with crayons on the 50, you probably lose some focus
Reed83HOF Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I hope phucking Dareus is an outcast in the locker room. What a selfish a$shole
Solomon Grundy Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I hope phucking Dareus is an outcast in the locker room. What a selfish a$shole Saw Dareus in airport on gameday. Not sure if he was flying out though.
Doc Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Scheme failure with no safety help and a collection of backups on the DL creating no pressure. Fitz was throwing jump balls and his WRs were bigger and making the play 1:1. Yep, a lot of "throw it up and have the receiver make the catch" like most of them to Enuwa or plays where the WR fakes going deep, stops and the ball is delivered while the CB is running past him.
Reed83HOF Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Saw Dareus in airport on gameday. Not sure if he was flying out though. If you can't tell; I am furious with him. His behavior has hurt the team more than anyone else...
Just in Atlanta Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Yes they could. They coudn't cover me
MAJBobby Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Rex Defense exposed with noodle arm Fitz, not looking forward to seeing AZ and thier vertical passing game go against it. Have a feeling gonna get ugly and another ass chewing from Pegula to Rex will happen after next Sunday too.
The Frankish Reich Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Several issues. No pass rush. No safety help. Bad technique. Gilmore is saving his body for his next contract and doesn't really care. None of these guys are watching film enough to know what the offense is doing. It's a tire fire and looks just like the Saints' 2015 defense. I don't think this is true regarding pass defense, but against the run? Pathetic. His idea of "tackling" -- particularly when a bigger body (and that's all the Jets have) is coming his way -- is to throw himself to the ground in front of the runner in the style of a cut block. His avoidance of contact turned a few short or no gains into 6 or 10 yard gains.
John from Riverside Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I dont know but I would friggen bench Gilmore in game if he has another lack of effort game like that...... He was flat aweful and there is no excuse for that from a player asking for top 5 money
Reed83HOF Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Shaq Lawson @Shaq_Lawson90 3m3 minutes ago So ready to be back on the field with my bothers #BillsMafia
LB3 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 No pass rush. A few times you could tell the safety wasn't where he was supposed to be. Bad game overall. They'll be fine.

Blokestradamus Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Rex happened. Everyone with All-22 access needs to watch it, as stomach-churning as it was.
