Do The Reich Thing Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Joe Montana and.... Joe Theismann...?
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 (edited) I love everyone mentioning Montana and Theisman because I incited I would stay away from ND players. Montana played about 40 years ago when ND was a legit national powerhouse. Notre Dame is not a real power anymore. Imo this plays a role in how I judge Kizer. I'm far more impressed with Kelly defeating Bama then anything Kizer has done. Don't count me as impressed when Kizer dominates BC, Navy, and Nevada. This week against Michigan State will be one of his few real tests. Edited September 16, 2016 by DriveFor1Outta5
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 cam led his team to 12-4 in his 3rd year. kizer has a quick release cannon. i'm gonna watch a lot of this kid saturday. Cam had and still has relied on a good running game, if he had to carry the team he would fail No. not at all. I just don't see Kizer as being a franchise QB. I just believe that ND's constant exposure (every game on NBC) results in players gaining tremendous amounts of publicity. This results in them constantly being overrated by fans, media, and even scouts alike. I remember Kiper giving Manti Teo a first round grade. People see these guys all the time, and are more likely to remember their highlights. I'll take what Chad Kelly did against Bama any day over Kizer stomping all over Nevada,BYU, and Boston College. It makes me weary of Kizer. They are playing Saturday just in case you want to see it again.
Blokestradamus Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I'll take what Chad Kelly did against Bama any day. 54.5% completion rate and stumbling into a TD on what should've been a pick heaved into coverage under pressure? Also threw three passes into the trenches that were batted in the first three drives.
MAJBobby Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Kizer is going to be very good. And there are people that have him ranked about Watson right now. Matt Miller comes to mind in his rankings of top 50 he released a couple days ago. However in those same rankings Chad Kelly is not even ranked in his top 50 players.
YoloinOhio Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 How about Baker Mayfield? Osu DC compares him to Brett Favre!
Blokestradamus Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 How about Baker Mayfield? Osu DC compares him to Brett Favre! I heart him but I have a horrible feeling he's going to fall short of a few NFL thresholds. Height and hand size, primarily.
Joe Miner Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 How about Baker Mayfield? Osu DC compares him to Brett Favre! If we're talking first round high pick QB, absolutely not. 4th round developmental.... Maybe
CommonCents Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Do you guys think Kizer will struggle against MSU today?
YoloinOhio Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) Do you guys think Kizer will struggle against MSU today?nope. But should be a good game. Edited September 17, 2016 by YoloinOhio
Blokestradamus Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Do you guys think Kizer will struggle against MSU today? If Malik McDowell isn't contained by that ND interior OL, could be a long day for the kid.
MAJBobby Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Kizer is so good. Footwork all there, mechanics nice arm and full control of that offense. There are reasons some scouts have him ranked as the top QB
TakeYouToTasker Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Kizer looks fantastic tonight. The thing that really stands out is how adept he is at making pre-snap reads and audibleing into plays designed to beat the front he's seeing.

MAJBobby Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Matt Miller QB Rankings as of 3 days ago Kizer Watson Kaaya Didnt have Kelly in the top 50 players
CSBill Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Should the Bills "suck for" Notre Dame QB De Shone Kizer? I have not seen him play, but have read great things about him. Any Notre Dame fans on here have insightful comments? Notre Dame has a good QB, since when?
