#34fan Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Statistcally Tyrod didn't have a terrible night vs. NYJ... Still, numbers aside, TT didn't show us anything new... Certainly nothing that would identify him as a true franchise QB... The Eagles threw Wentz into the ring WET, without the benefit of significant pre-season reps... Yet the kid didn't look half-bad... Is it time to see what we've got in Cardale Jones? -What's to lose in starting him against a top defense? I'm 100% all for it... Let's see what we've got... -Your thoughts?
mannc Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I agree, eventually, but as bad as it looks now, I think they have to stick with tyrod for at least a few more games. Tyrod does not look good, though. Kinda reminds me of Thad Lewis right now.
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 (edited) My thoughts are that there are 2 types of quarterbacks, ones who get worse with mistakes due to loss of confidence, and ones who get better from their mistakes by learning from them. If Cardale is one who gets worse from his mistakes then he can never be the answer, and it would be best for the Bills to learn this prior to the end of the season. If Cardale is one who gets better from his mistakes then you're only helping him by throwing him to the wolves and letting him play poorly. All the time I see fans assume that if a QB plays poorly its bad for his development. Why? Whichever type of QB Cardale is, its only beneficial to see him play, whether he is "ready" for it or not. It all depends on Tyrod. Edited September 16, 2016 by Aaron
Bookie Man Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Sure why not? Seriously. Tyrod has not improved at all it seems. Cardale might be inaccurate at times, but he has the look of a qb at least.
Thurmal34 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 So burn and scar him by playing him year 1? F that! Keep him off the field till he has 2 years of benchage to learn.
Big C Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Cardale can't play half a game without getting a sore shoulder.
Dr.Sack Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Cardale turns 24 this year. EJ was in year 2 at that age and Tyrod was in year 3. If Cardale takes 3 years to develop he's likely not the answer. For the record I think he's nothing more than a mobile Jamarcus Russell.
