bigbill Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Hi, Goodwin looked in pain as he crawled to the sidelines after the last hook and ladder play. Any word on the injury??
mrags Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Yes he crawled to the sideline. He was also escorted by 2 trainers (one in each side) to the locker room. As far as the seriousness of the injury... Probably like all his other injuries, not serious enough to actually effect real NFL players, but he'll be banged up all year.

The correct grammar is "affect". But since you are such a great judge of pain thresholds you would already know that, correct? I mean after all Watkins is a wimp for playing through broken ribs his rookie year, right?
CountryCletus Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Yes... He walked off the field with a trainer, someone from the staff came up to him and appeared to ask if he was alright and he gave them a thumbs up.... The way he was walking I initially thought it was lower body, but then it could have been a head injury.... I know this sounds ridiculous....

Thurmal34 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 yay!!! We have a grammar winner in the thread. Mrags, you are a nice kid, I met you at the TBDHOT and had a great time, but yeesh man, you can't sit there and pretend to know what kind of pain it is to play week after week with broken ribs, especially when you have the luxury in your job of wearing a vest. I don't care what someone "told you", the kid played NFL receiver with broken ribs. As a rookie. Certainly NOT a kitty.

Sammy? Or Glass? Because I don't ever recall Glass having broken ribs. I was simply stating the fact that Goodwin was hurt on the last play and was escorted off the field by 2 trainers. It is a fact. It's also a fact that he's constantly hurt/injured. If we're talking about Sammy, I absolutely think he is a P%$$y. I'd tell him that to his face. I have no problems telling it how it is. Players all over the league play with injuries on a weekly basis. If the argument is that he had an injury serious enough to play at a high level then the same argument should be made as to why was he banged up. Because he's always banged up. Jist like his baby foot now. He will always have nagging issues as long as he's on this team. Etch it in stone, I'll put money on it.

What significance, in that equation, (if you indeed got the chance to call him a Pu$$y) does your opinion have? Zero? Less than zero? Sorry mrags! Just relooked at the thread and I have the wrong player! My apologies. I bow to your knowledge. Edited September 16, 2016 by Thurmal34

Zero? Less than zero? Sorry mrags! Just relied at the thread and I have the wrong player! My apologies. I bow to your knowledge. I'm done here. I still don't even know who your arguing about. You seem to be arguing with me about Sammy Blumpkin in a Glass Goodwin thread, and his injuries from 2 seasons ago. Which many other injuries have occurred since then. An injury that happens to be affecting him now is a broken foot that he had surgery on. He also had an ankle boo boo last year and called out fans when they complained about his effort and injuries. Ive said it before, even the trainers in the Bills have commented that Sammy is a baby and doesn't play through pain and injuries like other players do. Could the pain just be too much? Sure, I guess. But then shouldn't the next question be, why is he hurt so much and why is it so painful compared to other players? Have a good night.
Thurmal34 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Good night! And you are correct, for some reason I brought up Watkins. Only the garbage plate can unravel the mystery.

drinkTHEkoolaid Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Yes it appears he got hurt. I couldn't figure out why he was trying to crawl to the sidelines. He seems like a genuinely good kid and I wish him well.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 They need to use Goodwin in a way that minimizes injury. I would only have him run bombs. That's it. Anything else and he gets hurt.
MarkyMannn Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Honestly I thought "Glass" was going to hurt himself on his TD celebration

Sammy has actually showed real mental toughness by playing through pain from several injuries. That is something he has control over and I actually applaud him for it. But it's the injuries that are the issue. He is physically fragile. Not necessarily fragile for a human being, but it just doesn't seem like his body can handle the rigors of the NFL. I don't think a single one of his injuries as a Bill has been due to contact and that's a bad sign. Certain injuries can happen to anyone - everyone's knees only twist so far and bend certain ways and some hits break anyone's bones. Repeated stress injuries from training and playing (non contact stuff) are a sign a guys body just can't handle what it's being asked to do.
YoloinOhio Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 He is in concussion protocol Hit his head on the turf.

But that should throw up a red flag for sure. He's got issues regardless and gets pissy about it when fans complain apparently. Seems to have some real thin skin
NoSaint Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 He is in concussion protocol Hit his head on the turf. youd have hoped that once apparent that he wasnt scoring he wouldve been better about how he was going down. im not saying take a knee, but at that point be aware of your body and dont worry about an extra yard or holding onto the ball or....
