4merper4mer Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Don't think he lasts the year. Like others I think he knows it. I think he will last out the year and I think that is the right approach. There are simply more candidates at that time. He is a good dude. I feel bad for him.
May Day 10 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Challenging on a 4 yard gain is puzzling Having a 4 minute drill run out of time, spiking the ball on 2nd and 1 and heading to the tunnel eating a timeout is infuriating. The whole strange 3rd and 4th and short exchange in the 4th quarter. Trying to draw them off, burning a valuable timeout and giving the jets time to collect themselves, then going for it and failing was embarrassing
DCbillsfan Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 That's what he is thinking. Maybe he will say it after they lose to the Cardinals. He could have pulled a Chan Gailey and said that he had no idea what the problem was or how to fix it. Maybe that would've been better...
Niagara Bill Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I still support Rex. I am pissed and catatonic about the game, but I still support Rex. As I was watching the Jets offense, I could not help but think about how many people here ran Chan Gailey out of town (or had Fire Chan as their name). Negativity breeds negativity. We have some specialists in negativity here. I need to take a break from here for at least a day or two. I really don't enjoy being around a lynch mob. how can you support this a?? who spews lies and coach speak every day...he has no idea how to stop the useless crap that comes from his mouth....lies and crap. Players coach my a??.... he is a total spin doctor and it is obvious that players have no respect for him
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I'm telling you guys, unless he loses 12 games this year he will get one more. Injuries and suspensions have bought him a pass. Tyrod's agent on the other hand better have a great financial advisor. This year's % is the best he'll ever get. 4-12 looks possible.
Toledo Bill Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Rex is the ultimate salesman. He pitched the organization and conned them, and many of its fans, into thinking he was a good HC which he is not. No, the ultimate salesman is our buddy Brandon. He saw this hire as a way to sell tickets. Please, please get Brandon out of this organization. If we just fire Rex, Brandon will once again be involved with the hiring. Why so many stand up for him is beyond reason.

Trying to draw them off, burning a valuable timeout and giving the jets time to collect themselves, then going for it and failing was embarrassing I believe his thinking was if the D held, those yards pushed them out of FG range? Maybe??. The other 2 statements just show a complete lack of game/clock management skills by primarily Rex. Nothing new, but Bills fans were hoping he would somehow magically get better at that this season.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Chan was the head coach here not the OC. He can't handle being a head guy, but is a very good coordinator....Just like Wade Philips. TV showed glimpses of Chan up in the booth with headphones and I couldn't get over the difference. He looked confident and at-ease in that role.
Manther Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I'd rather have him say this then say how great the other team is. He did the same thing after the loss to Baltimore. Awesome!
Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Dammit in 40+ years of Fandom this for sure is the most depressed and resigned I've ever been after the 2nd freaking game What took you so long?
Dr. Who Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Like others I think he knows it. I think he will last out the year and I think that is the right approach. There are simply more candidates at that time. He is a good dude. I feel bad for him. I feel the same way, but I am deeply disappointed that it seems the season is over two games in. Pegula better take his time and get it right. Also, so long as we are going to be bad, let's find a way to get Deshuan Watson. Don't want to see him in a Brown's uniform.
Bookie Man Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 He just isn't that bright of a coach. Seems like a good guy, probably would still be a decent coordinator, but just isn't HC material.

Oh, I agree ... this is not a mutually exclusive situation. Both Rex and Brandon can be great salesman but suck at their respective football jobs.
TheFunPolice Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Chan and Fitz didn't suddenly become elite they always put up numbers against crap teams
