I know there have already been a bunch of these postings...but what else is there to talk about?

Anyone know anything about this guy? Could he be a developing talent at Center that just needs the playing time? I always like looking at guys that teams cut and cross their fingers will be available to resign.

-- Vikings Want to Re-Sign Withrow --

The Star Tribune reports the Vikings hope to re-sign C Cory Withrow, who was cut yesterday, to a more salary cap-friendly contract. An important backup to Pro Bowl player C Matt Birk, Withrow started five games in 2004 as Birk battled two hernias and a sprained ankle. Although the Vikings are considerably under the NFL's projected 2005 salary cap, Withrow's 2005 cap number of $990,000 wasn't considered commensurate to a backup center. Withrow was due a $250,000 roster bonus and an escalator bonus of $200,000 above the minimum salary of $540,000 for a player of his experience.
