NorthBuffaloKid
tonight in order to keep the Jets pass rush from pinning back their ears. If not, we should consider a new OC.

CountDorkula
I hope to see an offense that resembles something similar to an average NFL offense FTFY
K-9
We've had trouble with screens going back to Marrone. Ugly stuff, really. Too bad, because they can be effective vs. teams like the Jest.
NorthBuffaloKid
A good screen needs to be sold. The offensive line HAS to make it seem as if they are trying to pass block. From what I've seen, the O-line is looking downfield too soon.
killshot
Chan Gaily is a master when it comes to screens . Just copy his design and stop trying to reinvent the wheel Buffalo .
Freddie's Dead
we tried screen passes last week...Our OL was awful on them I was thinking the same. I'll go for the slants, but if I see 6 swing passes in the first 12 plays again
NorthBuffaloKid
we tried screen passes last week...Our OL was awful on them How many middle screens? I think that the screens to the flat are shut down due to them playing our receivers right on the line. Middle screens would draw the defense toward the middle, freeing up the outside. Bookie Man
Slants yes. Especially against a blitz. I'm not sure the quick passes are Tyrod's strong suit. I think he'd rather use his athleticism to either run or buy some time and go deep. I honestly can't remember him ever taking a quick 1 or 3 step drop and hitting a slant route. This is the big leagues. If you want the big money, do what the big boys do. What would Belicheck and Brady do? The quick slants.

Considering they can't make it look like they're trying to pass block when they're actually trying to pass block, this might be too big a mountain for them... Boatdrinks
And that defines the limitation of the Bills offense. The QB can't make throws over the middle and they can't execute a quality screen. If no Watkins this offense is going to look remedial tonight. If bodies go to the outside , defenders will go there too. Middle screens draw the defense when you throw middle screens.

PolishDave
Depends on the defense they're up against, but I would like to the offense use Clay in the middle of the field a lot tonight. And for Christssake, stretch the field a few times using Watkins and/or Goodwin.

After last week's performance, any semblance of an offense would be a welcome sight.
TSOL
I think Taylor has to burn the Jets aggressive line a few times early over the middle to take a little pressure off the blocking. Open things up. If we come out flat from the start we'll be in trouble. I expect the offense coming out looking to prove something after a disappointing loss. Malazan
Russ Brandon is the one who is planning the offense so I don't expect to see anything resembling a competent game plan. I don't even know why this topic was started. We all know Russ is planning the offense and he doesn't even know what a screen or slant is...he just knows how to call a run for -2 yards. GunnerBill
Need to get the ball out quick and use the middle of the field - if the Jets have a weakness on D it is the coverage ability of their inside backers and safeties. Neither of those two things sound like classic Tyrod.
Dorkington
Offensive game plan, run up the middle, but have our backs bounce to the outside and run backwards, followed up by a pass play that takes 10 seconds to develop, before checking down.
